Saints could go A L L the W A Y

The NO Saints will finish the season 15W-2L

They will not go 16-0, Brees cannot handle big pressure and he will mess it up when it counts. I predict that they lost to the Falcons anyways. And the Dolphins could take them apart too.

Drew Brees is not Phillip Rivers. Brees CAN handle the pressure situations. Rivers can't.

Drew Brees is off the charts this season,He is playing far better than Brady and even Peyton

Who said anything about 50%? Substitute your own probablilities. I got 6.56% or approximately 14 to 1 against NO going 16-0. If they are 6-4 favorites in their two playoff games, that makes the probability of 18-0 to be 2.4% or about 41-1 against.

I have NO as 6-4 favories over NE and DAL
I have NO as 7-3 favories over ATL and MIA
I have NO as 9-1 favorites over the rest of their pitiful schedule
.6 x .6 x .7 x .7 x .7 x .9 x .9 x .9 x .9 x .9 x .9 = .065 or 6.56%

What did you get when you substituted your own probabilities?

No NFL team is a 9-1 underdog.

No NFL team is a 9-1 underdog.

Can you really say that with a straight face the year after a team goes 0-16? I would have given this year's saints much better than 1-9 against last year's detroit.

Whatever their regular season success, history shows that teams with no history of any postseason success at all ever win a SB in their first try.

Winning in the postseason is a learning process as much or more than it is a talent contest

even if brees does have an off day...their run game is pretty good too.

I say it's possible for them to finish with 0 losses reg season. post season is a different beast all together though

This was through week 6 for both players.

24 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, 295 yards pg, QB rating 117.2 (for the year)
13 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, 280 yards pg, QB rating 118.4

I think you forget how good Brady was in 2007.

No one forgets Brady of 2007 but Brees has a powerful runnig game which makes his job even easier than Brady's 2 years ago which means Brees at this point could be well on his way to beating Brady's 50 TD passes that no one thought was possible this soon - take the pressure off the shoulders of the QB and you have a team that will be EXTREMELY hard to hang close with for 60 minutes...the Saints will win at least 14...possibly all 16 RS games.

So really Brady was more impressive than what Brees is atm because the Saints are a more balanced offense.

I was hoping the Giants go 18-0 so we could beat them in the SB and get sweet revenge.

So much for that.

If you think the Saints schedule is a cakewalk, take a look at the Colts' schedule. They have as much a chance as the Saints.

....I think I just threw up a little saying that...

Look at their schedule ... who can stop them?
Only PATs really stand in their way. If they get by us they will at least
tie PATs 2007 regular season.

Bucs x 2
Panthers x 2

Rams and Skins - no loss here

Falcons x 2 ( possible loss here but doubt it )

The Fish - a fluke loss is possible

PATs - only real threat.

If you bet, what odds would you give they win out?

I lived in New Orleans for some 20 years before moving back to North Texas after Katrina - so I kept up with the Saints then, and still do.

The big difference b/w this year and the last couple of years under Sean Payton is that the Saints have a DEFENSE - Gregg Williams as DC has made a BIG difference.

The only time I've ever watched the game at the Superdome was many years ago when the Dodgers and A's played an exhibition preseason game there - but from what I understand from friends that attend Saints games(even through their sucky years), it's VERY electric in the Dome.

i think they can win a SB but not go 16-0

the fish have the running game to keep drew brees off of the field

i hope on one get's to 10-0 so we dont have to see Mercury Morris face again

Donks could too... I hat hate say it but whose stoppin them!?

Someone will beat them as the season progresses,Orton is as hot as it gets for a QB but sooner or later he will have a bad game.

If the Vikings go down this week to Pittsburgh and beat them we could definately put the Vikings on the list of possible hard to beat teams as well.

Vikings are surviving at the moment. They aren't likely to last undefeated especially with Pittsburgh, Green Bay and the Giants away.

Broncos are playing very well, but they've been really lucky. They got Brady at a good time and they were 1 Tyree play away against the Bengals from having a loss. They've got the Ravens, Colts and Eagles away still to come.

The Colts have too many issues stopping the run. Manning is playing some hellified ball, but they've got the Ravens and the Texans away with the Patriots always a good game. They really do have a peach of a schedule this season.

The Saints are the most likely to do it, but they always lay an egg at some point.
