Look at their schedule ... who can stop them?
Only PATs really stand in their way. If they get by us they will at least
tie PATs 2007 regular season.

Bucs x 2
Panthers x 2

Rams and Skins - no loss here

Falcons x 2 ( possible loss here but doubt it )

The Fish - a fluke loss is possible

PATs - only real threat.

If you bet, what odds would you give they win out?

how ironic would it be if they go 18-0 only to lose to us in the super bowl? :D

0 chance. How can they AT LEAST TIE 16-0?

That'd be really really weird to see 2 16-0 teams occur within 3 seasons of one another. The Saints really do look like the real deal right now though. They are clearly the favorites to gain home field advantage through the playoffs, which means no cold weather fluke conditions to throw them off and help someone upset them.

It'll never happen cause the won't handle the pressure alte in the season and Brees always has a clunker and they won't recover from it

Any given Sunday......
Just ask Andy Reid........and that furrball they coughed up in Oakland yesterday.................

We just completed week six of the regular season. It is far too early to be talking about undefeated seasons.

I'll agree that the Saints are a top 3 team right now and have solidified themselves as an early favorite, but if there's one thing I think most of us have learned the past few years as Patriot fans and it's not to buy into any early season results and/or hype. It's a long season and the playoffs are a whole different animal. Besides, the Saints better gain home field advantage because they look damn good in the dome. The only tough road games I can foresee is MAYBE @ Miami and then @ Atlanta. If they have to go on the road in the playoffs to play in the cold I don't think they would fare too well against a team like the Giants, for example.

I was thinking it but didn't write it down ... here's the complete thought

"If they get by us they will at least tie PATs 2007 regular season
and have a shot at beating PATs record by going 19-0."

I can't see how they have 0 chance of going 16-0 in the regular season.

They will not go 16-0, Brees cannot handle big pressure and he will mess it up when it counts. I predict that they lost to the Falcons anyways. And the Dolphins could take them apart too.

You can try the arithmetic. I suggest that if you go through the effort, you will find that their chances are less than 1%.

and the vikings still marching on! How much do you guys think they have left to bring to the table or are we seeing them at their very best?

If I remember correctly, our Undefeated talk started in week 5. And not by us on here, by the national media.

I think you would lose most of the time if you make bets that way. :)
If you think in EACH of the games the Saints have left to play the
odds are only 50-50 I'd spot you 3 points for each game left and I'll take the
Saints -3 points in each game. Wanna bet?

They'll drop one of the Falcon or Panther games, not because Brees can't handle the pressure, just because every team has an off week here and there. I can't believe 2 teams will go 16-0 in 3 seasons, it's just too hard to pull off.

geez, even the Raiders and Chiefs won a game yesterday, the Raiders against a heavily favored Eagles team...add in Brees' proclivity to melt down in several games as the season drags on and this is way premature...let's discuss again in Week 14 or 15

I love everything about this Saints team...Brees is accurate and fearless, he spreads the ball around evenly. Their trio of backs all play their rolls very well...power, speed, quickness, pass catching ability. The WRs are big, fast, with great hands, and always open. Even Shockey has surprised me....To me, as near perfect an offensive roster as I've seen

Favre in November

A dome team that doesn't really have much in the way of winter games.
Their schedule is very favorable.

Who said anything about 50%? Substitute your own probablilities. I got 6.56% or approximately 14 to 1 against NO going 16-0. If they are 6-4 favorites in their two playoff games, that makes the probability of 18-0 to be 2.4% or about 41-1 against.

I have NO as 6-4 favories over NE and DAL
I have NO as 7-3 favories over ATL and MIA
I have NO as 9-1 favorites over the rest of their pitiful schedule
.6 x .6 x .7 x .7 x .7 x .9 x .9 x .9 x .9 x .9 x .9 = .065 or 6.56%

What did you get when you substituted your own probabilities?
