As I've pointed out on a couple of other threads, remember that the Patriots will have to absorb $7M in dead money if they trade/cut Thomas this season.

Miguel's latest number is $5.6M cap room, and that was almost a month ago.

Trading Thomas would cost the Patriots $7.2M against the cap.

Therefore, they cannot trade him.

I seriously doubt it would happen, but the Pats might be able to find a way to free up room if they got a sweetheart deal of some sort. I am not holding my breath though.
