Dean Pees Q&A

Hi, my name's Dean Pees. I make bad calls and then play Captain Obvious in Q&A sessions.

Like his defensive scheming, his Q and A session is very vanilla:

"The rest of the stuff is they do what they do and we did what we did. I don’t think we were really shocked or surprised by the things they did. We just didn’t play them well enough. We just need to play them better."

I hate this guy's laid back approach man--at least Rex Ryan said he was embarrassed and made Henne look like Marino.

Yeah yeah, that is all good to know Dean

Now quit yapping and start scheming for Titans already

The Pats need the attack style they used against the Ravens. During that game they got pressure on the QB.

bb said and even reiss analyzed that the pats tried applying lot more pressur ein the 2nd half . the pressure didnt get there before orton got the ball out.

I don't like his passive style. Our defense has become a finesse defense. Fire his ass and bring Romeo back.

Well that would be a dream come true ! But since Romeo will be cashing his checks for the next 2 years courtesy of Browns, I'm not sure about motivation to comeback.

Isn't he recovering from a knee/hip surgery ?

As long as he comes with a rejuvinated Ted, Tedy, Willie, Rosie, Vrabes, Ty, Rodney and Seymour...

Pees has forgotten more about running a defense than anyone posting here will ever know.

TJ was on with Felger yesterday and he enlightened even that twit to the fact that Bill will not take risks with a unit he has yet to develop confidence based on track record. Said the lack of veteran system leadership ON THE FIELD was the glaring problem Sunday. Josh used the wild horse primarily to expose this defenses achilles heel, the inability to adapt and adjust on the fly. Orton would split out forcing the defense to change their call and there was not enough experience on the field to allow them to regroup as he moved back under center.

I assume that is the primary reason Junior has been brought back.

2010 BBR.... the year of Bring Back Romeo.

You can't get a pass rush on a guy throwing 5 yard outs and slants all day. Or do you guys just like complaining????

It's not about the pass rush, it's about playing up on the receievers so they can't easily catch those 5 yard outs. Instead Dean decides to not give up the big play. What big play are you going to give up to Kyle Orton?

Is the implication that Kyle Orton sucks? That he can't throw the deep ball? Do you understand that if a corner misses a jam on Marshall (who is substantially larger than our DB's) or Royal (who is probably quicker than all of our DBs), it's likely 6 points?? I know it's frustrating to watch the dinks and dunks, but limiting big plays is a sound strategy. It sure has been working against the Patriots recently.

this jamming the WR at the scrimmage is overrated analysis by us fans when see WR's catching passes. every team would do it otherwise and no WR would catch much of anything. BB's defense is always about not giving anything over the top and playing sound coverages and 3rd down and redzone defenses. agreed pees calles plays differently than romeo but romeo had differentplayers and even those defense used to give up yard but play sound red zone defense.
ultimately its Bill's scheme.

Dean has been playing defense of not the bend but don't break style but more of Don't play to win,Play not to lose style and that has cost us. - We are playing a finesse vanilla defense and that scares no offense in this league

Dean Pees has failed us so many times of late that I wouldn't mind giving Tedy Bruschi a shot to be coordinator. I feel bad for the defensive players because I feel with a more skilled and daring coordinator these guys can be utilized properly to become playmakers. I think the Pats defense can be amazing as this unit is one of the deepest in the league, maybe they are going to take more chances in the second half. The Pats defensive unit has talent and pride-I bet many of these guys on D feel terrible about the "play to not lose" mentality. No defensive back wants to sit back in coverage and lay 15 yds off a WR--they want a challenge and it must be a drain for them to constantly be beaten on underneath passing plays. I wonder how guys like Leigh Bodden feel getting beat on plays by a guy named Kyle Orton.

everything he said was "we" need to do better "we" need to call better play's

just we we we

as much as we hate rex ryan what did he say after the jets lost put this on me i should have used are time out's i lost this game i need to get the D better

i dont care about he's play calling just stand up for what you do

Al Groh is said to be under scrutiny with the Virginia Cavaliers

Would anyone want to see him reunite with BB as DC?
