I'm hoping he and Brady have been putting in time together trying to get better, I still think he's a better option than Aiken and Edelman. Two weeks in the dog house has probably lit a fire under him.

Time to unleash the beast! Ok maybe not but I hope he gets to play next week. What do you guys think?

I think he needs more than a fire under him, but I agree ...I would like to see the team use him...

I hope who ever knows the play book and is in sync with Brady plays... think Galloway is great, but has not shown it in this system....

Agreed. Though I will say that I think sync has little to do with it at this point. Brady is just missing wide open targets. That's not a sync thing. That's just Brady not putting the ball where it needs to be.

This "synch" stuff is getting WAY blown out IMO.
Rookie QB Mark Sanchez and Braylon Stone hands say hello!!

What ever happened to " Hey chumly, your kinda fast....lookey here I'll draw it up.....I want you to start off a bit slow, do a double jive hip maneuver, and run as fast as you wittle legs can carry you towards the End Zone......if you have at least a step on your man the ball will be waiting for you around the 5 yard line".

I guess you get to start Doug Gabriel and Donald Hayes next week, bro.

It doesn't work that way around here. they aren't going to change an intricate, effective offense for one guy, and for good reason.

If hes still playing like he was i don't want to see him.

I'm guessing barring a miracle change in Galloway, he may never suit up again for the Patriots. The good news for this weekend is that the Titan's secondary sucks and they are out of CBs due to injuries. The Pats may not need more than Moss or Welker this weekend.

I'd like to see him out there again. All I am sayin' is give Joe a chance.

Why is it the Pat's playbooks are always 'so complex' and require 'high football IQs' that seemingly turn many decent players into crap?

The Colt's offense is able to plug in 2 brand new WRs and go on a tear.
The Jets are able to pick up a malcontent and make him look like a pro bowler in a week.
The Giants lost their big playmaker, and their pass offense looks better than ever.
AdT was a big producer in Baltimore, with the Pats he's become JAG.

Are we to believe Jabar Gaffney was that good? Reche Caldwell just got it? Donte Stallworth just lost it?

I don't buy this "Brady and Galloway are out of synch" bit or that "Galloway hasn't learned the offense yet" for one minute. I mean how hard is it to learn a post or flag pattern? How tough is it to throw the ball to a receiver 40 yards downfield and hitting him in stride? These are seasoned professionals we are talking about here who have run and passed these types of plays since recess in grade 5 for crying out loud!

Put Galloway out there tell him to run fast and tell Tom to throw him the freakin ball!

I pretty much said the same thing on the Dolphins' thread. This (the situation, not your post) and they need to get it fixed even if Galloway is limited to 3 different routes with almost no reads. I don't believe a good coach and QB can't make it work.

This.

All this "our offense is intricate" or "our defense is complicated" BS is overated. We act like we're the only team that runs option routes in passing plays or the only team that play read and react/2 gap system.

It's a lame excuse for people not playing well. Worst part about it is that these players probably believe all this intricate/complicated BS because they read about so much and now use as their fallback excuse for not playing well. I call BS. Tom needs to throw better. Our defense needs to play better. Our coaches need to be more creative.

It's more complicated then just being able to run a post or flag. You have to take into account what the D is giving you. The play may change before the snap from an audible or just how the D is lined up. Galloway is probably great at doing one thing, but having difficulty making adjustments. Like you said, just send him out there to run down field and get separation. Brady will get him the ball.

Galloway is in the dog house and will never play again. Why the

Patriots don't cut him is a mystery to me.

Having said this, I wonder if coaching is also part of the problem.

The Patriot's wide receiver's coach, Chad O'Shea, was an offensive

assistant/wide receivers with the Minnesota Vikings last year.

We all think that the Patriots have a complex offensive system.

How qualified is a neophyte from another team who is learning

the system himself to teach Galloway?

I want Reche Caldwell back! And no I'm not being sarcastic.....

Already had that guy drop a sure pass for a NEEDED first down.
That drop allowed the Dolts to win a SB, otherwise we would have played DaBears with Rex Grossman at the helm.....my guess is we have #4

No Thanks

It never ceases to amaze me when people just cannot grasp that. The system works when the players execute. When they don't it's not the system that's at fault. Bill trusts discipline and attention to detail. That's all there is. That plus sufficient talent wins more than the most talented assemblages absent it.

If you want to watch seat of the pants wing it and sling it save my job you're following the wrong team. Bill discourages freelancing with the rare exception of the all pro talent who proves to him his instincts are right 99% of the time. Unless you are that player your assignment is simply to do your job as assigned and dictated with tremendous attention to details Bill generously provides you week in and week out. He puts them in position to win if they do their job. Unfortunately he sometimes lands players who either lack the pure talent to matchup consistently at a high level or the disciplined detail oriented drive that often trumps talent or the intangible football instinct to guess right 98% of the time. And sometimes he just matches up against more or equally talented or equally well coached teams while his own team fails to execute and we lose. Oh the inhumanity...

Pioli used to remind folks frequently that there is a far smaller talent pool for this team to select from than most. It is what it is. It's led to 3 SB championships and 4 Conference championships and 6 division wins in 8 seasons. Yet you want to swap it for say the JETS or Indy's or Miami's offense that can't nearly approach that level of success.

Using this sort of logic, why hasn't Brady been sent packing for his failures in recent playoff games?

i dont think he ever plays a down for the pats anymore. someone who didnt even travel and was a healthy scratch says as much about what the pats are thinking.
