Was Manning calling Brady out with these comments?

maybe us fan's hate the colts but manning and brady are good friend's

and manning dose not do stuff like that

Don't think he was calling out Brady, but he's a flat out liar saying he's never asked for a call or clapped for getting one

Certanily looks to me like he was calling out Brady over his actions last week:

Afterwards, in the locker room, the Colts signal caller was asked about what he thought of the penalties.

“I don’t get into that. I have never asked for a call. I have never clapped when they make a call [for roughing the passer].

“ I clap when we get the yards because of execution. The first one [by Vanden Bosch], I have had that hit before at the knee. I don’t know if I have to validate it or not, but I have got to see the doctor [after the game] and get treatment, if that makes it more valid,” Manning said.

“When you plant that left leg, it is in a vulnerable position. I wear that brace for that reason alone. Hopefully it protected me there. I know it is a big talk with Baltimore against Tom [Brady] last week. I don’t ask for the calls. I don’t celebrate when they call. I just go out and play.

Alluded to Brady and then referenced him...certainly looks like he was calling him out but not directly.

He obviously has asked for calls (I saw him do it multiple times just last night...) but that aside I didn't read that as calling Brady out. He referenced the situation that the reporters were obviously alluding to- that's it.

Sure reads like it was a little shot @ Brady's action in the Baltimore game.

Maybe Peyton's got Alzheimers now, but he's always been one of the biggest crybabies when it comes to whining for calls from the refs. Remember how he would always weasel his way right into the ref's huddles when they were clarifying penalties?

Hell, manningface.com is there for a reason.

Why should he ask for calls? They always magically appear.

Face guarding anyone?

Also, where is all the buzz with those two roughing the passer calls Sunday night?

He was asking for calls during the 2003 playoffs. Remember the "Peyton Manning" rule that came up in 2004. That is a direct result of Manning and Polian whining. And two things that Brady has never done. Throw his offensive line under the bus and teabag a female reporter.

He has never asked for a call he has asked for a rule. Two different things.

I can think of an instance in every single Colts game I've watched over the past few years where Manning has asked for a call. Also, notice conveniently how Manning was hit in the knee, got the flag, and the Colts drive proceeded again... and NOBODY has said anything about it? Well, how can you say anything about it? Now that I think of it, he's just too likeable a guy. His commercials are too damn funny.

Ha! Yeah, right, Peyton. I think if I were to cull together all his whiny to the ref for PI calls, it would be longer & more epic than the entire Lord of the Rings series, extended versions.

Manning has convienently "misremembered" how he begs and pleads for PI.

I don't think hes taking shots at TB, but hes positioning himself as a "just another player" kind of guy.

Of course he would NEVER ask for a call!

Thats all that needs to be shown. There isn't a QB in the league that panics more, or *****es more than Manning. It's his goddamn fault we watch terrible PI calls like the one that was on the Dolphin's Allen last night. His damn team has made it into an offensive league. It's because of them the league throws a flag if you so much as sniff a receiver. Man what a joke it is to hear that mother ****er act like he doesn't beg for calls.

I'm going to have the question the reading comprehension skills of about 85% of the posters in this thread, CLEARLY the point Peyton was attempting to make
was not that he didn't campaign for calls or react to certain ones, as EVERY QB
in the NFL does

.he said that he does not CLAP or CELEBRATE after roughing the passer calls, as Brady did with his fist pumping and ovation after he recieved the calls, something Manning has NEVER DONE

as a Colts fan, I know Brady and Manning are good friends, to the point it would upset many in both of our fan bases if they knew to what degree, so I don't think he was taking a intentional shot at Brady...

...But your blind hate, envy that Peyton has been Better and the fact you're dealing with a injury to TB and Peyton is clearly on another level right now, are making some of you say a lot of irrational things in this thread especially

Mannings Quote

Indianapolis wound up scoring a touchdown on the drive (a 39-yard catch and run on a pass to rookie wide receiver Austin Collie), taking a 21-9 lead into the locker room at half-time. Afterwards, in the locker room, the Colts signal caller was asked about what he thought of the penalties.
