Not that it's preseason but we should win these games.

I would like to see :

- Galloway starting again, one more try.
- Maroney getting 20 touches a game
- Butler starting with Bodden.

Butler-McGowan-Chung-Bodden at the secondary .

Recovery time for Mayo and Light .

Maroney last chance to get confidence .

Last try to Galloway

No longer double TE formation

Ouch, you're wanting to demote Meriweather ?

We either have to start Galloway, or start someone else. Aiken is just taking up space on the field up there, and Edelman + Welker on the field at the same time isn't as dynamic as we'd hoped, yet. Not having a 3rd wideout is proving problematic. Teams are giving help over the top to Moss, and getting two guys on or around Welker. We don't have a 3rd guy to burn them - Watson was banged up yesterday, which didn't help, and Faulk has played less, which also doesn't help.

And we need Maroney to run the ball more - 5 carries? I love Sammy, but Maroney is a more explosive back and could've done more damage if he had more touches.

I want more carries also but it was shocking we didn't throw him any passes, as explosive as he's been on catches as a RB.

Re: What Changes Would you Try with Easy Games Upcoming ?

Love your idea of Butler starting. He's really physical and changes the look of our secondary when he's in there. On top of that, here is what I want to see:

1. More touches for Maroney in the running game. I like him as our lightning back and Sammy as our thunder back. Put Maroney in there and give him more than three carries to make the defense pay. He has been doing better.

2. Maroney used in the passing game. I feel like this is a hidden weapon that we never use. Maroney is deadly in space. Plus, I feel like when he comes in, the defenses expect the run more. Why not use that to our advantage, run a PA fake, have him chip a blitzer, and then peel out into the flats for a dump off? I guaruntee you Maroney can do something with that with his skillset.

3. The use of a back-up lineman as a fullback. Sweet memories of Hochstein from last season. Why not use that on more 3rd and 3 type of situations?

4. More aggressive play calling on defense. I understand that you live by the blitz, and you die by the blitz. But for God's sake we have to try something. We can't just sit there and let QBs like Orton pick us apart. Send some heat and good things will happen most of the time. The days of generating a good four man rush against a good O-Line (like Denver's) left with Richard Seymour.

5. Make Derrick Burgess the guy in charge of getting the coaches coffee on the sideline. I mean, the guy isn't doing **** else right?

Kontra,I had similiar thoughts while watching the game yesterday....why does Maroney dissapear for long stretches in the game??

I agree. Belichick said it was an issue of personnel groupings...I don't really have anything add to that other than I think Maroney, one way or the other needs to be on the field more often.

Hope the Patriots do not think these games are going to be easy. They need to win them all. The Titans are due for a win. Any giving Sunday.

Well I'm not a Hall of Fame coach but my eyes tell me Maroney needs at least 3 passes thrown to him every game especially against a fairly aggressive Denver defense.

If these two games aren't easy, the season is over. They're 0-10 with a combined -127 point differential. One's at home, the other's on a neutral field. If we don't go 2-0 in these two, the party is over.

Offense

1. Get Randy Moss the ball. I dont care if he's triple covered, find a way to get him in the game

2. Agree on Maroney - both in the running and passing game

3. Play Galloway. He is better than Aiken. I blame Brady as much as Galloway. Send him deep and stretch the field

4. Use Watson more in the passing game, not just as an end zone threat

5. Expand the playbook. Not just screens and underneath routes. Lets see some slants, some outs. Are the guys running options?

Defense

1. Be more aggressive

2. Play Brace (whats going on there?)

3. Stop always playing 5 yards off the receivers

4. Jamming at the LOS

5. Play more man - instead of zone

6. Start double covering the best receivers instead of guys like Mason and Marshall lighting us up

7. More safety blitzes. Merriweather is good at them

8. BIN bend and break. Because its broke

What easy games? When you don't pressure the quarterback

and give large cushions to the wide receivers, every quarterback

looks like Peyton Manning.

I don't think any game should be considered easy. But I would like to see them give some carries to BJGE. With Taylor out, these next two games would be a good time to see what he can bring. Morris is not an every down back, though I love him running from the fullback position. Instead of 2 TE, let's try more running with a lead blocker/fullback. It may open a lane and give a guy like Maroney a place to run. Tell him "Don't dance. Just follow the fullback." Morris would be better than an offensive lineman because he would be faster to the line.

I would like for a qb to not have all day to throw. And please stop the corner back 15 yard off the line of scrimmage.

i want to see a good 3rd WR in the pats offense. just like they signed(traded ?) gaffeny in the middle of the 06 season and he actually came in and played really well. Pats need to do something about that position right. i know our offense is difficult to pick up but i cant understand why so many WR's struggle to fit in with brady. chad jackson, galloway to name a few.

Letting Gaffney go was one of the dumbest moves the Patriots made

this off-season. Gaffney did not demand that much and both Lewis

and Galloway were failures.

When the Pats spread the field I would like it to mean something, Brady is so locked on Welker it destroyed us in the second half of the Denver game. Every 3rd down I just chalked it up to a punt because Brady was fixated on Wes and Denver took him out of the game. Also I don't remember a single draw, and the only designed screen we ran went for 35 yards, why didn't we try it again? Mankins is a friggin tank in space and Koppen ain't to shabby himself.

Galloway I definately agree on.

Want to see more deep attempts and work on those. They need alot of work.

Other than that nothing much really. If Brady were on, Denver would have been an easy win. The Jets game I'm not sure but most likely. I am satisfied with what I've seen on defense and Morris/Maroney are running well.

The offense has no identity. O'Brien certainly looks like a guy who has never called plays int he NFL. We need to have 3 WRs on the field more often. With only 2, it makes it much easier for the D to key on Welker and Moss. Also, why go away from what's working? They were successful in the first half, then decided to try to throw the ball down field more. I don't mean deep balls, but in the second half there were way more 15 yard attempts than the 1st.
On defense, it's pretty simple, the CBs need to start playing underneath receivers. Eddie Royal literally ran the same route all day and it still beat us: 7 yard button hook. The safeties have great speed; give them the chance to make plays if the other team wants to throw downfield. Also, let's hope Sanders comes back. I think it hurt a lot to not have McGowan playing the hybrid role. He has been phenomenal at that so far.
