After a night sleep and a clear head , its still not a great feeling.. I do think we have a lot of work ahead, the next 2 weeks should be wins, but Nov will be brutal.. Which is why a win that got away is crucial down the line... I know this is not 2007 anymore, and we will never see those days again.. But still would like the defense to make plays , and hope Sebastian Vollmer will be able to contribute like Matt Light..

The Pats have three more games all season against teams with winning records for the entire season. November may be tough, but December/January is a cake walk with games vs. Miami, Buffalo, Houston, Carolina, and Jacksonville.

The Pats lost two games this year against teams with one loss between them and one went into overtime. The Pats have already beaten very good teams in Atlanta and Baltimore.

Denver is 5-0 and aren't a fluke. Brady either connects with Moss in the endzone or Welker when he was wide open with no one between him and the endzone and the Pats probably win yesterday. The world is not ending. The Pats are not in as bad of a situation as you and others think.

I agree. I still am pissed, but I agree. I think many are forgetting the the Patriots ALWAYS have it rough in Denver. Sure, we all remember yelling and cheering after midnight when Givens ran a fade route into the endzone and caught a touchdown, but that was an anomaly. Usually at Mile High the Pats get their clocks cleaned. And yes, the O and D both looked like they have problems. But let's keep the faith a little and not panic.

Miami and Houston wont be cake walks... We will be 5-2 going into the bye, then the nov stretch, Miami , indy, jets NO and Miami again.. If we are 9-3 by then we will be fine.. But again Matt Light inj is key , hopefully its not a season ender, but it did not look ...

Miami has one win this season - against the 1-4 Buffalo. Houston has two wins this season - against the 0-5 Titans and the 1-4 Raiders. So combined they have wins against teans with a collective record of 2- 13. Let's not make them into anything special.

If the Pats are 8-4 by the end of their tough stretch, they still have a very good chance to go 12-4 or 11-5.

I don't understand the talk about games that "should be" wins and others that are "cakewalks." I still have us in the Playoffs, but we're a botched Buffalo KO return and dropped Flacco pass from likely being 1--4.

Let's just focus on beating a talented but poorly coached and underperforming Titans team next Sunday. They're proud competitors and excellent athletes who are going to get mad way before they get depressed and concede a game before it starts. They're also not going to go 0--16, let's just focus on being sure that one of their games in the W column doesn't occur in Foxboro.

Then, let's focus on the next game...

If we don't win the division I worry about our chances of making the playoffs. The Colts (barring a miracle) will be the only team from the South to make it and the Broncos will most likely win the West. That still leaves us competing with the Jets, Bengals, Steelers, Ravens, and Chargers.

i hope we ge the littel stuff corrected .are deff is ok .but still there something wrong. if the off would score a lil but more we would be fine .but its been werid watchin the off play this bad for 5 weeks

...and we are two bad Brady throws from being unbeaten. One to Edelman vs NY and either the throw to Moss or Welker yesterday. You can probably say the same for a number of teams.

As long as we move forward and not backward I'll be a happy fan

There are no easy games in the NFL, unless you play the Raiders. Even the Lions have won a game this season. We've won some games that we maybe shouldn't have; we've lost some games that maybe we shouldn't have. But we need to realize this season is going to be up and down, maybe more than usual.

We've got a new defense that is still coming together. Our new guys are adjusting, while some of our experienced guys now have new roles (Guyton is an example). While not a huge alteration in technique, we're also transitioning to the 4-3 as a base defense.

The quarterback play has been inconsistent, but that's to be expected considering Brady's injury. His security blanket, Welker, was injured for a while too. And we're still trying to figure out that third receiver role, and our RB situation.

Bottom line is this team is still developing it's identity. There are going to be some growing pains. I know it's frustrating; I wanted to throw stuff at the TV several times. But I think it's going to continue for a little while longer. We need to find a way to win the next game.

This loss really bothers me, not sure why... maybe we really miss Josh, as the D play calling was unimaginative... maybe because Brady does not look "great".... or our D bent more than it should have... or maybe because we lost in OT...without regard I feel like Shyt...

yeah 2 throws from a HEALTHY Brady from being unbeaten

How about Gostkowski just hitting that field goal?

You know what I just thought of? If we have to be a wildcard I hope this happens:

#5 seed, Bengals or Steelers 12-4
#6 Patriots 11-5

Baltimore Ravens 11-5

Awwwwwww :D

Of coarse ESPN is rubbing it in....look at the page....like the Jets SB!!!!lol

People hate us!

We'll be fine. This is traditionally being a Pat fan is all about for all those who are in my age bracket and above. I love our team. It was close and we blew it. They guys played HARD. We will get better....deep down inside we know it-as long as we have a chance....and we have plenty of time. We let this one slip away.

Maybe we'll see these donkeys in the post season.
I want Brandon Marshall to get speared in the nuts....someone please t-bone his knees. I hate big, young receivers with attitude. I wish Rodney was back so he could wipe that smile off his face..
Im done *****ing...............

I don't understand folks that think there are "cakewalks" on the schedule, there are no cake walks , especially the way this team has performed.

Tenn is a very dangerous team right now, I don't care that Indy just whooped on them, so I'd start by preparing hard for a team that is fighting for it's dignity, that was a playoff team the last 2 years(23-9), and won their division last year.
Maybe they really miss Haynesworth, but they are still a dangerous team.
TBO, I don't see the Pats whipping up on anybody the way they are playing right now.

Jeez. Cakewalk is just an expression. Ok, I will put it this way, for the most part the Pats have a relatively easy schedule the rest of the way. They have three more games against good teams and eight games vs. bad teams.

They are not giving lombardi's after week 5 , although the media always seems to do so.. So its still a long season, I think , I know I am, frustrated by how we lost ,because we are better than that, and how we lost is just so unusual... But we have 2 games to get better.. We will be better.. It was just a frustrating loss, and its time to move on... Brady will be fine, and all will be right in 2 weeks..
