For all you fairweather fans who are ready to turn on this team after two losses in five games, feel free to jump off the bandwagon at any time. Seriously, looking at this board, you would think the Pats went 2-14 for the season.

The Pats didn't play well in the second half and overtime and they have things to improve. But they have a fairly easy schedule the rest of the way (only Indy, the Jets, and Saints having winning records remaining on their schedule) and plenty of time to fix the problems. Brady is coming off a major injury and a year away from the game and will probbaly take some time before he is completely on his game.

I understand what you are saying and you might be right. However what I am seeing is a team that has issues on both side of the ball that are not easily correctable simply because they do not have the talent.

I agree somewhat, but we had every reason to win this game today. We as fans have a right to be upset with this loss. We were outcoached and outplayed. Denver gave us so many chances to win this game. How many penalties did they have to give us first downs? We didnt score in the 2nd half. But by no means is it time to panic, we do have a relatively easy schedule the rest of the way and 11-5 or 12-4 is a very achievable record for this team.

This is a Super Bowl team if the play calling idiocies are patched up.

Why do people always say this when the Pats are scrutinized? They haven't been the best team in football since 2004. Anybody has the right to scrutinize if they feel their team is underachieving.

And after two impressive wins against Baltimore and Atlanta, people were talking about how much better this defense was than they expected with Mayo stillm to come back and how Brady was starting to look like Brady. It was one game. All these problems people see that aren't correctable were apparently corrected and now broken just a week ago.

I know "should have" is a lame phrase, but they should have won the SB in 2006 and 2007, and quite possibly in 2008 (mostly due to the rest of the league unaccountably sucking).

Is it against the rules to be critical of your team? I should hope not. That's not really fandom now is it?

Some of us as far from bandwagon fans (myself I have been a Patriots fan since '72) and have earned the right to be critical of the team when they play like crap. Today was one such day.

I feel exactly the same way. The team and front office has underachieved since 2004.

Scrutinizing them is one thing. Saying Brady will never be the same again, saying we have no chance against the Titans next week, and saying the Pats have no shot at fixing their problems is another. People don't know how to scritnize this team. Either they are the best team in the NFL or the St. Louis Rams based on how they do week after week. There is no middle ground.

The Pats right now are a very good team with some issues. Most of the issues are correctable. People are acting like we should be talking 2010 draft right night.

If and when Brady gets back on track, this team will win these types of games by sustaining long drives and scoring at the end.

It also wouldn't kill them to bring a little pressure. Now awaiting Kyle Orton to make it to the Hall of Fame.

Can't fall off the bandwagon because I hopped on before there was one. What the hell does that mean I'm riding? ;)

i AGREE. Im tired of people saying we are fair weather fans we we are criticizing the team.. they need to be called out...

Belichick- where is your defensive genius...??? have not seen it since 2004

Brady- You had a inj, your better now. stop forcing passes, you have playmakers on o

Deen Pees- Your resignation would be appricated

Adalius Thomas- can you give back some money

Derrick Burgess- you can rush the passer can you???

Vince Wilfork- If the Pats dont resign you, shame on them...

Oh get off your holier-than-thou soapbox.

Every loyal Pats fan has every right to gripe, complain, mope, or otherwise disagree with something the team is doing. Just because some people are questioning decisions doesn't make them any less of a fan.

Your post is pompous and ridiculous.

Be critical all you want. Just be critical intelligently. Complaining about the problems today is one thing. Making statements that Brady has lost his passion for the sport is another (and down right stupid when you see his reaction when he screws up).

I am not directing this to people who are making valid criticisms. I am directing it to the Chicken Littles who come out of the woodwork on every loss.

Actually, this team could easily be 1-4 instead of 3-2. But it could also be 5-0. I just keep remembering that the 2004 team was 2-2 and then ran the table. This team is more talented than the 2008 team but it hasn't found its groove yet and it has some serious work to do.

To be truthful it's not all Brady that I am concerned about. Yeah, he sucked today and hasn' t sniffed his usual stellar play this year. But my concern is the coaching staff; this is the 3rd game of 5 this season that I felt they have been outcoached (Bills, Jets and Donks).

Just because I think the offense lost this game in the second half does not mean I am jumping off the bandwagon. Fact is the offense sucked in the second half. Brady is my favorite player but he cost the Patriots a couple tds today.

They have the talent - they just need the time to put it together. As I mentioned in the other thread you're looking at a defensive group that is more or less playing together for the first time - take a look at last year's depth chart and you'll notice that the majority of the group has all new faces.

Offensively you're looking at a QB that hasn't played in over a year and is 3-2 during his first few games while not playing his best football. I expect that will improve. If he's still playing this poorly by week 12 then maybe we should be concerned, but it's too early to panic just yet.

Overall the defense has been decent so far. Today the defense was just awful. I believe Orton completed 80% of his passes.

The offense has been between poor and average all year. This is this is the second game that the pats could not score in the second half. Out of 5 games the offense has been poor in 3 of them.
