I just heard on the radio post game show that Matt Light was seen with a walking cast on his leg while going to the team bus.

This may not mean anything about the extent of his injury but it doesn't sound too good right now.

I don't know if this is the same trainer as 02-06. And I don't even care about the fact that he doesn't deserve the blame for this type of injury. He has no place in this thread.

But I hate him.

Well, at least he didn't have to be carted off the field like Pittsburgh '05.

Maybe it will be a Bledsoe moment.

I have a lot of confidence in Volmer, but without him we have problem moving the chains .

To be far with Sebastien, we have problems before too

He looked real disgusted on the bench ... his face kind of looked like his season was over. I hope not - he's been playing very well.

That was the vibe I got when they showed him, too. I figure torn ACL.

It's a shame, the day we get one player back we lose another.

The offense shoved their tail between its legs after light went down. Way to let one player going down dictate the entire offense.

Again the loss had a lot to do with Matt Light

he was out , they were afraid of Dumerviell... And did not run a normal offense since he was out, Im asuming they better get used to life without Matt Light, or its going to be a long year...

The only positive I can make out of this is Vollmer will get more reps and progress faster. Wasn't he supposed to take over Light eventually anyway?

Absolutely- I hope everyone on the "Light sucks!" wagon was watching what happened after he went out.

The play calling did definitely get a lot more conservative once Light left the game. Hopefully he isnt out long, he will definitely be missed

I wouldnt go that far, but the play calling definitely did get a lot more conservative after he left.

I actually feel like hearing of Light in a walking cast is a good thing, as I originally thought he was out for the season. If hes allowed to put weight on it, its probably a bad sprain or something that'll last 2-3 weeks tops.

I also thought Vollmer did well and they should have called it as if Light was still in

I hope he's okay. He was having a really good game too. Titans, Bucs, Bye, and Dolphins, so we should be able to manage.

But then comes Colts/Jets/Saints. I hope he can make it back by then.

I'm pretty sure he's out for year. In fact, you could tell by the look on his face on the sidelines and the way he was taken off to the locker room.

Did the people who are claiming that this should shut up those who aren't fans of Light's play see something in Volmer's play which was worse than Light's?

It was the CHOICE OF THE PLAYCALLERS to get simplistic. The plays I noticed Volmer on he was shoving his guy back handily. Why not at least TRY to do the same thing with the young guy? Light was a rookie second round draft choice at one point himself....

That's not true..........the play calling acted like Light going down was a disaster......it wasn't.....the protection was fine.....they were getting decent yardage on 1st down, but seemed baffled what to do next.TB just won't consider throwing to anyone, other than Moss or Welker........Including Brady, injuries are just killing us.....Welker,Watson,Light,etc.............We've got to stop playing, not to lose......All is not lost, but,if you can't tackle or you are inaccurate in your throws......you won't win....you can't coach either.

Jim Whalen has been the trainer for quite a while. But to blame Light's injury on training is absolutely idiotic. He had his leg fallen onto by Mankins. There's a good chance it's broken.

Vollmer had nothing to do with this loss. Nothing.
