Steve Burton just reported that McDaniels and Belichick agreed before the game to talk after it was over - and just met a few minutes ago.

But, Josh made BB look like a chump searching for him on the field.

I figured they would. He obviously was looking for Josh but wasn't about to chase him around the field as he was doing his dance.

I hate to see the Pats lose, but if they have to lose I would prefer it be someone like McDaniels.

That won't stop Peter King and the rest of his ilk from making it a major controversy. They're allergic to facts.

The post game handshake is a big farce. It would be nice to move on from it.

EDIT:

I'm thinking Belichick was looking back to make sure McDaniels wasn't looking for him. He was clearly heading to the locker room so I'm guessing that's why he was looking back.

C'mon man. You can't be serious. It's a show of good sportsmanship. We as Pats fans have expected our opponents to be gracious in loss in the past. Now, when we lose, we start saying that the handshake is a "big farce"? Again: Come on, man.

Again Ian Its great you report it, but when Brady leaves the field or Belichick who I did see try to search for Mcdaniels... do not meet in front of the cameras it gives fuel to the fire...

True - but we also need to be smarter than those in the media who like to start controversies that don't exist.

Unless you like being driven crazy

BB needs to stop being soft. Why the hell did he spend his time to meet other coachs when his team is playing crappy?????

I would like to see him RIP TOM BRADY AND HIS OC APART FOR 30 MINUTES.

Because he understands there are 16 games in a season and will "rip" the necessary players after he's had time to review the film and make educated criticism, rather than overreact in the heat of the moment. Something that doesn't always tend to happen here.

Yeah, my only point was Josh should have made an effort to find BB as well. After every game we always see the HCs head for each other.

I know - if they made that agreement you almost have to wonder why they weren't on the same page if that was the case. I'm sure someone will come out with something on it - probably from Denver since Josh seems to be far more forthcoming with the media on things than Belichick.

It looked to me like Josh was looking for BB as well. It wasn't until after BB was off the field that he started celebrating. He hugged and talked with several Pats players and coaches as well.

I don't think there was any disrespect there.

He did, as far as I could tell. He couldn't find him so but he still embraced Ivan Fears, Watson, Neal, and others.

BB was looking for McD with a member of Pats security. Later, when McDaniels was leaving the field, the camera was on that member of Pats security talking to McDaniels, obviously telling him BB tried to find him but couldn't. The CBS audio clearly picked up McDaniels saying "No problem."

it's a public show of what ... if we're going to do it then make it a formality like they do at the end of a hockey series. There's too much kaos on the field at games end to ever do it properly. There's all kinds of people running on to the field - I think there's big safety factor in getting to the locker room ASAP after a game.
