Florio is reporting that "according to Jay Glazer of FOX, the Raiders have been calling around the league and generally offering anyone in which other franchises might be interested."

I can think of a defensive lineman I might be willing to offer a 3rd or 4th round pick for :D :D

Re: Fire Sale In Oakland

That wouldn't even happen in a video game.

This is bad news for us if they're mailing it in for this season and have started planning for 2010.

Why? They were playing for 200, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005.........and look where that got them

Tom Brady for Jamarcus Russell

Never know if they might finally hit on a winning combination. Even a monkey will type a complete sentence on a typewriter if you give him all the time in the world :D

I'm just hoping we end up in the top ten. Top five would be great, though..

Of course it wouldn't - video gamers are too smart. But this guy, on the other hand... :D :D

Do they look like they're close to turning the corner to you ?

Wouldn't that be the funniest thing? Personally, I would not want him back, but still, if I were BB, I might just try it to see if I could. No higher then a 4th though. :singing:

Re: Fire Sale In Oakland

I would not trade the Raiders entire team for Brady.

Normally, that would be a joke, but in this case that may actually be the case.

If true, the commissioner needs to step in and appoint a guardian ad litem, liek you do for a child. It reminds me of 30+ years ago when another Oakland owner in baseball tried a fire sale and i was overturned by Bowie Kuhn, even though it cost the Red Sox Joe Rudi and Blue/Odom/?????
