Sounds like it will be pretty fair and fact-based.

it's 1025 right now....what time's this on?

Is this for real? If so, the media is getting ridiculous. Every time the Patriots get a call their way, the media blows it way out of proportion. Rodney may have been joking, but the reaction to his statement about Brady wearing a skirt has fueled a lot of negative comments about Brady. Sorry if you disagree, but Harrison owes Brady a public apology. Brady has gone back to throw 178 times and we got roughing the passer called for us 3 times. Our opponents have gone back to pass 130 times and it was called 3 times against the Patriots. So by percentage it has hurt us more than helped us.

If the Ravens were as good of a team as everybody thought they were they should've beat the Pats with OR without the officials making bad calls.

This is what I hate about the media. A lot of fans have become extremely ignorant and instead of journalists and the media correcting them and telling the truth, they are just feeding in to the incorrect belief because it gets higher ratings and it is what people want to hear.

What is Brady and the league supposed to do? Do people really expect Brady to refuse any penalties so he can prove "what a tough guy" he is? Do people really think the league doesn't have the right or incentive to make judgment calls that just might benefit the Patriots? Do people really think Brady is the only player in NFL history to rally for a call? I'm getting sick of the giant BJ that the media is giving these delusional fans.

I was told to stop complaining about Rodney's "quip" last week, since it's all in good fun, right?

I wrote then, and I'll repeat now - - this is what we will be hearing for the rest of this season and into the next few.

I'm usually miffed because I can't get NFLN with my cable provider. But right now, thanks to this...not so much!

Then again, with ESPN I got treated to Hoge using replays of Romo against the Broncs D and saying that Brady has to be careful and not play like Romo did. Ummm...yeah, Merrill, I don't think there's much worry about that, but thanks anyway, ziphead.

You never know, they could debate the issue and find that refs haven't been babying Brady at all. Wait and see, fellas.

Pampers, soothers, bring it all out... who the hell cares ? If he wins (as he has always done) they can change his diapers at halftime if they want... just want to win. The NFL will worry about fines, penalties, and franchise QBs staying on the field.

"We'll tell you why Brady, like Michael Jordan, may be playing by a separate set of rules."

That was followed by a clip of McNabb saying he should have jumped up and looked for a flag like Brady.

So, I'm guessing not.

it's next.....10:50ish

It gets worse......

They just said that Brady is the originator of "The Tuck Rule"

WTF

Boy I am glad I watch Nickelodeon with the kids instead of these talking head, need to fill 3 hours with all kinds of pontifications, pregame shows.

Ok, quick recap:

Spero ask's pannel, "Do stars get preferential treatment."

Michael Irvin = Stars no. quarterbacks yes. Especially Brady and Manning. They played Ray Lewis' comments after the game and Irvin says Ray has a gripe. Irvin says what made the call and backlash worse was brady "begging" for the call and then the flag coming.

Warren Sapp = Agrees. Says to the refs, "if you see it, call it. Don't wait for the quarterback to tell you to call it (meaning any kind of penalty).

Marshall Faulk = Do stars get special treatment? Yes. And they've earned it.

Adds, if you know there's a brady rule then don't go after the guys legs. Says, Suggs wasn't even near his legs but still "don't put yourself in the grey."

Missed what Steve Mariucci said. Someone interrupted me.

saw quick note.

In 2009 21 roughing the passer penalties called. 20 accepted.

fewer than 2008 and 2007 at this time.

But, after 4 weeks in 2006, there were 32 RP penalties called and in 2005 there were 26.

That's what I've got now.

Babying Brady?? If this piece is legit they'll show how many times Tom has been hit and sacked over the course of his career. It's alot!!!
The league has been babying Peyton Manning and the Colts for years because of Bill PoliON. That is the story.

Mmmm. Sounds like some scintillating journalism to me.

Every video segment I have seen on this issue only shows the two roughing the passer penalties by the Ravens, but not Mike Wright's. Wright's penalty is just as bad as Nata's, but it doesn't sell the story to show that the refs called the particular call relately evenly.

Or how about showing the times this season when Brady did get sacked or hit and there wasn't an RTP call on the opposing D? I know, I know, that's just me talking crazy again!

EDIT: To clarify, I didn't mean there should have been RTP calls in those instances, of course. I'm just tired of nothing being shown or discussed to nullify the apparent perception that touching Brady in any way results in an RTP call.

Hey get rid of all QB hit rules. No more calls .. can do whatever you want.
Lets see how many QB's the league can put on crutches. All these talking
heads without brains would be singing a different tune if they lost their cushy
jobs because no one was watch the crapy QB's left in the NFL
after the dust settles.
