And so doesn't our team

Bleh, we've heard this all before. First it was, "Mangini knows the in's and out's of the Patriots system". Then it was, "Crennel knows the in's and out's of the Patriots system". Someone remind me of what happened both of those times? Sorry, but I don't believe that Knowshon Moreno is going to be able to run on us and I don't think Kyle Orton is going to be able to pass on us. Hell, he should easily have 5-6 INTs this season based on the few games I've seen from them. He's gotten unbelievably lucky with the ball landing in his receivers' hands and not the defense's. Two prime examples happened in the Cowboys game this past weekend: the first being the TD pass he threw to Moreno, which really should have been a pick six, and the second being the TD pass he lofted up there to Marshall. Both dangerous throws. He's exremely lucky Marshall went up there and got it.

As for Denver's vaunted defense, we've seen Brady pick apart defenses like the one they have before. That's good that they can bring pressure outside with Dumervil. But guess what? The Steelers can bring pressure from the outsides as well and Brady has traditionally torched that team. What kills Brady is when the pressure comes from the inside and impedes his ability to step up in the pocket. If you've watched a Denver game this season you can see that Denver doesn't consistently bring pressure up the middle. That would be the death stroke for them this Sunday.

Excellent!! :yeeha:
We have to win this game. I DO NOT want to wake up Tuesday morning and find the Jets if sole possesion of first place in the AFCE!

our run defense wasnt great in the last game. it was odd why baltimore stopped running and threw that much.hopefully with mayo back it will become even better.

Take away that 50 yard rumble that was a result of someone being out of place at the time and we don't allow 100 yards. Those things happen though. I just can't see little Knowshon Moreno having much success against Wilfork, Sands, Pryor, Warren, Green, etc.

lol, they could only run at us when we were playing the pass

when they had to run for 1 yd, they couldnt get it, why? b/c we could stop their run on a whim

lol, we were vulnerable to the pass, hence thats what they did

This will be a tough game because McDaniels is going to try to 'blueprint' Brady.

I think if we can contain their offense consistently than we will win. We should be able to score 21 on them even with a good donkeys defense.

BB knows McD is an over thinker. BB may use calls and formations from last year, but then throw the left hook when McD takes the bait. I can see McD looking at film and thinking back - he'll want to do this. But maybe he'll disguise it, and do that, no no wait....

passing out of run formations and visa versa. we will gain more yardage in Denver then we did against Baltimore, and win.

Another thing we need to consider is the on field adjustments the players make.

I agree that there will be some mis-matches created and gimmick plays by the coaches but it really comes down to the players executing and adjusting.

One angle that is not mentioned is that the Pats Defense has been playing against this Denver style offense in practice for a number of years.

And BB knows McDaniels tendencies too.

I just hope the OL protects Brady like last week in the middle because I am expecting pressure up the middle.
