Mayo upgraded to questionable

Great News but I really hope we keep him out longer as long as our defense is playing the way it is....There is absolutely no reason to rush Mayo right now,Our defense is holding its own without him and I would like a fresh Mayo right after the bye week.

The longer the current group of LBs and secondary is playing the more quality of depth and experience it gets when the games start getting much more important and crucial.

We need Mayo at 100% when we go off to Indy and N.O. which are 2 games we will have our hands full with.

Agreed. Nice to know he's healing rapidly, but don't rush him back.

Who says hes being rushed? Maybe his injury just wasnt that bad in the first place.

If he is ready then he needs to play. Cant afford to just keep be safe with him because it really limits us defensibly.

BB and staff a very cautious, so if hes been upgraded then i would say he's not being rushed.

Like on poster just said maybe its not as bad as first thought.

I never said he was being rushed, I said don't rush him back. That's different. He is listed as questionable, which certainly sounds like he's not fully recovered, but given how the Pats keep things cryptic I'm not assuming that as a definite.

If for anything use him sparingly like 3rd and long to put pressure on the passer or patrol the middle for the slot receiver.

No reason why he should right away be an every down guy like he was last year until he is 100%.

On ESPN they said WIlfork and Mayo will play on SUnday.

No way he plays this Sunday, this is a knee injury we're talking about. More BB keeping the opposition guessing.

BB lists Mayo's status as "out"==McDaniels gameplans to ram the ball into the middle of our D.

Belichick has had success against rookie RBs,I hardly think Knowshon Moreno is going to be a major factor in this affair.

Now Brandon Marshall and a sluggish Eddie Royal are my concerns as well as Danny Graham and the always dangerous Stokely

Still, everyone should "know" that Kwowshon is capable of breaking out for a big game, plus the Patriots' secondary is starting to look very good all of the sudden. Just think it's a possibility that Josh's gameplan is to try to exploit Guyton up the middle.

Your point make no sense. If his knee injury still needs more time to heal, why put him on a multi-hour flight just to stand on the sidelines?

The schedule gave the Pats a clear direction on Mayo. Long flight to Denver, home against Titans, long flight to London, bye week, 5 game stretch that likely determines their playoff destiny.

If Mayo is ready to go, no reason to hold him back. If Mayo has any real limitations, you don't bring him back during this 3 game stretch. He needs to be 100% for the stretch after the bye. The fact that he is travelling to Denver leads me to believe that he is good to go.

hey guys we don't know the extent of the original injury. everyone here was just guessing that it was something major. it looks like it was minor 3-4 week thing. mayo will probably be a game time decision. mayo is a future superstar and BB knows not to risk him, especially against a team like denver.

I remember some initial reports said he'd be out for 10 weeks

And I said 3 to 6 weeks which is on target. He was out for about 3 weeks if I'm not wrong.

And all knee injuries HAVE TO be longer than 4 weeks ?
