Meriweather got mad props on the show. They showed coaches all 22 and showed Meriweather's speed and showed the play where he bailed out Sanders. They were amazed that he ran from the far hash mark and broke up a clear TD.

They said he was a special player which I agree.

I think once Butler takes over as the starter, I see our secondary being outstanding with guys who have great speed.

Even in Meriweather's rookie year, where he was very raw, I have always thought he would be a good player. This year he is showing signs of being a true game-changer at safety.

Meriweather's biggest liability as a rookie was being able to hang on to the ball for INTs,Last season he graduated into catching a few INTs and now this season he has sharpened his skills dramatically to become a complete Safety.

I sometimes think that we still have Asante Samuel out there with Meriweather moving around so fast like Asante did many times in the backfield.

I wish he's hitting was just as hard as Harrison's was. Then we'd have a speedy "harrison" out there. All said, I'm glad he's on our team and making plays.

Linky for those that missed it like I did. (Mind you it'll air all weekend but I got impatient!)

Thanks for the link.

Mayo, Guyton, Thomas, Meriweather, McGown, Bodden, Butler - the speed and playmaking on this defense will be unreal by the end of the season.

Through 4 games, Meriweather has played as well as an safety in the NFL.

That's a shiver worthy advantage.

You almost have to wonder if having a D full of "no-names" was advantageous out of the gate. No doubt, those names won't go unnoticed for long.
