However, understand that that stuff merely builds the national/cultural perception. In this internet age, we live in a world where facts are made by media coverage, not vice versa.

If my team is considered cheaters, dirty or whatever, I honestly don't give a **** lol. They do what matters most to me, and thats winning football games.

I know who they are as an organization, but do I really expect everyone else around the country to? No, honestly I dont. We've had our time of being the New England Patriots organization that everyone in the country loved and admired. We were their gush fest.

Now, well...we still kick ass and for a lot of people it's getting old. I think it's great that the Pats are finally one of those teams that everyone else in the nation hates with a passion. This team is just that damn good. And I say, Hell Ya!

I could give a sh*t that Peter King has some Favre/Manning agenda and the league and fans of other teams hate the Pats. Well I can understand that, but what about the obsession with the media (i.e. Tom Jackson, John Clayton)? For every mediot that hates the Pats, there are ones kissing the ground Brady and Belichick walk on. Jackson is just bitter he never won a ring and the Pats remind Clayton of the jocks that bullied him in school.

I couldn't disagree more. No matter how many people in this country are fools (and it's a lot), The Onion can not possibly be taken seriously. The Onion satirizes other, "real" media sources. So when something like this comes out, it's a parody of how the real media has overreacted. It's funny, and this will not capture the attention of the morons out there because the morons out there don't read The Onion. Morons take themselves very seriously, and The Onion doesn't support that thinking.
