I think he takes one more week off.

What do youse think?

Week #7 is my guess. But I like him being back in practice because:

A) He's prepping.

B) Other teams have to think about him at least as an outside possibility.

I still doubt he plays until after the bye. We're winning, and I don't seeing him being crucial in the next 3 games. Why risk bringing him back too early and getting re-injured?

Practicing is another thing. We don't want him back rusty. And more Sith mind tricks is a good thing.

That seems to make sense. And if his clinic is reporting it, then...

I understand what you're saying, for sure, but what I'm thinking is this: the second he gets cleared to play, he'll suit up unless Bill sits him for fear of rust - can't see it.

Logically, after the bye makes sense, but just on gut feeling, I'm saying week 7. It will be interesting to see if Seau goes inside and Guyton moves over if the defense gets even stingier. I'm so close to going on a rant about the speed of this D when that happens, but wrong thread...

Well I orginally thought that he wasn't going to be back until mid-November at the earliest but I was wrong about that. So my guess is that he won't see any PT this week, but will come in next Sunday at the Titans maybe sparingly. Same with the London game against the Bucs. After the bye week, I think he'll be back full time.

I have to wonder if the Titans game is going to be the debut of a swing back toward a 3-4 pressure scheme (based on game-by-game strategizing)

I guess that will strongly depend on Mayo's (and Junior's) presence.

He'll be out until week 8 or 9. No chance this week.

Week 7 is in London against Tampa Bay. We won't need him, and unless he's already back in the lineup I don't see the value of dragging him across the Atlantic. Knees can stiffen up on long plane tides, too.

Week 6 vs. Tenn might be an option. He could help contain Chris Johnson. But I'm still guessing after the bye.

Not sure if he'll play this week or not but once he's cleared by the medical staff there is no physical reason for him not to play.

it depends...

i think just as a precussion, he doesnt play against denver.....

and i had rather not have him back against the titans unless hes 100%, cuz u know theyll go for his knees (like they did against rodney couple years back)

so lets say he starts seeing action in Tampa, primarily to get some rust off, and that his first full game is after the bye against miami

Making the trip from Scotland down to London for the Bucs game so hope to see him, but don't expect to as I don't think we'll need him.

Like to see him at the very least take some snaps in the Dolphins game ready for the Colts

By precussion, do you mean that you expect him to also get a concussion at some point? Based upon Mayo's comments about being back "soon", I would expect him to be back next week at the latest, barring a setback.

He mean "precaution". Wouldn't that fit better?

Personally, I think it would be silly of us to fly Mayo to London from Boston. That's what 7 hours at high altitude in a confined space coming back from a ligament strain? It's not exactly ideal, even given the bye week following.

It really comes down to the medical staff, Mayo and BB being comfortable with all the scenarios of getting him out on the park. I simply can't wait to see him butcher someone to be honest.

Why would they? The 4-3 has been effective in more ways this year than the 3-4 has been here since 04.

I know what he meant - just busting balls.

I don't think that signing Junior has anything to do with Mayo's injury. The injury would have to be a lot more serious for that to be the case (ie. Mayo seems close to being ready to return), as I can't see Seau stepping into a full-time role right away, if at all.

I hope they don't rush him back. I would rather he sit an extra game than come back a game too early.

The defense is doing OK without him right now. The Denver game will be tough with him or without him.

What do you think he'll be flying in, a Cesna? Commerical aircraft are pressurized to a 3000 foot altitude.
