Was last Sunday's game against Baltimore a preview of the AFC Championship game?

I don't see the ravens squeezing in there i'm saying colts pats again

Re: Poll: Will the Pats Play the Ravens Again in the AFCC?

I don't even think they will make the playoffs. They are in a tough division with the Bengals playing well and the Steelers are still the Steelers. The Jets and Broncos and Chargers are all in the mix too. I think the lack of discipline on the Ravens is going to come back to bite them on the butt.

Re: Poll: Will the Pats Play the Ravens Again in the AFCC?

I think that come the end of the year, they may be the best two teams in the AFC. Whether they meet each other is subject to a lot of factors. There is a high probability right now, but no certainties.

Re: Poll: Will the Pats Play the Ravens Again in the AFCC?

I would not rule out the Colts,Chargers,Steelers,Jets or even the Bengals.....yes I said the Bengals

Re: Poll: Will the Pats Play the Ravens Again in the AFCC?

Short answer: no

Long answer: I just don't see the Ravens beating the Colts/Steelers/Broncos in the playoffs. Whoever they play in the second round will trip them up. I see them in the number 3 seed and they would end up facing us, maybe the Colts if we can beat them later on this year. But they just can't make it to the AFCC game, too many obstacles. For the Pats, its just the Jets and Colts. The Raves have us, Colts, Jets, Bengals, etc.

Not discounting their potential (especially with that D)... but I think Indy and even Pitt would be better bets right now. We'll see. I did mention the D, but when analysing a bit, they allowed 27 against the Pats - and there were a few missed chances. They allowed quite a few vs the Chargers... I think they only really stopped the weaker teams they played.

So then you would say that, especially because we lost to the Jets and right now lose the tiebreaker with them, its paramount we beat the Colts and not lose the tiebreaker with them?

You can's really say we lost the tiebreaker to the Jets yet. We still have a game to play with them and 4 more division games.

I'd have to agree, their secondary will take a hammering against the better passing teams in the AFC and the Colts are just that. Also having to meet the Steelers twice, go to Minnesota and Green Bay and play the Bears along with a much improved Bengals side and of course a home game against the Colts makes me think they will not be a top seed and more likely if we do meet them it will be before the AFCCG.

That's why I said we lose the tiebreaker to the Jets right now . . .

It all depends on where their seeded. So to answer your question, nobody knows.

No, because either a) they meet before the AFCCG or b) the Patriots don't make the AFCCG.

****. . .

I forgot that New England making the AFCCG was a given. Sorry!

You remind me of that idiot Patrick Crayton of the Cowboys who, after getting his ass kicked by @ 20 points in October 2007, said he and 'the boys' would be in Arizona, and if the Patriots made it there, he would see them there . . .

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

Although we have looked pretty decent on defense, we have played 1 truly solid game out of 4. The first we kind of lucked out on obviously. The second was the loss, and the fourth the other team was most likely going to win--had it not been for a dropped ball.

While there have been many many good things to be happy about, we are lucky not to be at least 2-2. BAL's RB Rice ran well, Flacco did pretty decent, and we were lucky to escape with a win.

I by no means, am undermining what this young team has accomplished. I am simply stating that many things need to be improved upon to be looking at the AFCCG already. The competition is incredible, and we need to develop a series of games like the ATL game where we are dominant.

All in all, I think we have had a terrific start to the season, and there are many things to be very excited about. One is the competitivness against very strong opponents.

Hard to say but right now I'd say no. Ravens would likely have to get by Pittsburgh for this to be possible and while they match up well to the Steelers, they just can't seem to overcome them. Ditto for the Colts. If we play them it will likely be an earlier round, I see them as a wild card again.

I'm not sure how people can say right now that they will miss the playoffs unless you're just angry over the whining after the game. They are a borderline top 5 team right now even after the loss. I mean yeah it's always possible they could sputter and have a major downfall but there's no evidence that it's likely, they're a very good team.

Please. You're a cliche.
