Does anyone know how to research the last time this happened?

The Bills, Jets, Falcons, Ravens, and now the Broncos were 0-0, 1-0, 2-0, 3-0, and 4-0 respectively.

Obviously, having it happen the first 2-3 weeks is not that unusual, but I suspect it gets pretty unusual for the streak to continue through week 5, because undefeated teams begin to get pretty rare and then the schedules have to line up just so.

In any case, this indicates the Pats have come through a tough early stretch very well with some quality wins.

That's the kind of statistical oddity that I always wish I noticed before someone else pointed it out. Nice pickup.

Nice catch.

I like it better on this end of the undefeated matchups

Don't underestimate the Ponies. Very good defense. Dallas is a good team, and Cincy is 3-1. Denver won't be a cakewalk, especially at Mile High.

McDaniels knows all about Brady, so we have to hope BB knows all about McDaniels to counteract McDaniels inside knowledge- but then at least Josh has gone a solid year and a half without really working with TB.

Undefeated teams this early in the season dont really qualify as "tough" teams to play against. Being undefeated this early doesnt really indicate anything.

Giants , Colts , Saints are undefeated . They are tough teams to play against.

So does playing teams that have zero wins mean anything as well???

I never like it when the Patriots travel to Denver, and the Broncos have been pretty good so far. But there isn't really anything that terrifies me about their offense. And a lot of that starts with the QB play. It has been pretty safe, and Orton hasn't made too many mistakes. But I couldn't comprehend today how some of the passes he threw today weren't picks. It looked like some of them went through the defender and into the receiver's hands. I hope we turn a few of those tight throws into easy INTs next week :)

No they are not, Romo is so overrated it aint even funny anymore.

The cowboys, are an okay team. And they won that Cincy game by pure chance, that game was over. The Broncos defense is playing great, their offense is just staying mistake free for the most, the Pats should not allow more than 10 points on D to that offense. The Pats really should beat Denver.

Just saw a stat go by on this phenomenon...

Is not counting the Bills game.

Patriots to play their 4th straight game against an undefeated opponent. The '86 Eagles are the only other team to do so since 1970 merger.

Who mentioned Romo? Dallas is still a good team. Not an elite team, not a great team, but a good team. They played the Giants close. They are a 9-7 or 10-6 team, and a borderline playoff team if they get their act together. Not a patsy like the Browns or Raiders.

Excellent point.

Meanwhile, the Washington Redskins have yet to play a team that has won ONE previous game this season (Giants 0-0, Rams 0-1, Lions 0-2, Bucs 0-3) and think they are something with their 2-2 record.

BTW, this week? Carolina (0-3).

The week after? Kansas City (0-4).

You can't write a script like this.

Of course we should. It shouldn't have been close against Buffalo. But should and will are two different things.

I have full confidence that we will win. All I really want is to see our team continue to gel and find it's groove. As long as we do that, the wins will pile up. But this team has thrown up a few stinkers over the years, and if we go in flat against Denver after being hyped up for a big game against the Ravens we might find that it's not such a cakewalk.

Of course, they enter the real world in the second half of their schedule.

Each of the teams you mentioned are tough teams. But being undefeated this early in the season doesnt automatically mean you are a tough team. Are the Bills, Jets, Falcons, and Broncos really tough teams?

Well we were playing pretty vanilla D then.. Clearly BB thought it was worth the risk to start from the inside out and build up slowly, and now it has paid off with our D being so confident right now.
