I never knew Wright had so much explosion off the line of scrimmage. It will be interesting to see if he can keep up this level of play or if fatigue will be a factor as we get closer to the midpoint of the season.
What's your biggest surprise this week?
That too! He looked awfully strong today.Sammy Morris showed he's back - and I just loved that.
The Patriots can rush the passer.
Oh yeah, Sands consistently got a big push up the middle each play he was in, to the point he was drawing double teams.
QB12
Gary Guyton stepping up big time.
I'm wondering if McGowan is a steal?
The way we attacked on defense. I haven't seen us attack the offense with blitz the way we did today. Granted, we got hit with a couple of timely screens, but for the most part, I liked what I saw. We gave up 14 points on defense against an offense that is one of the better and more balanced there is in the NFL.
Our defense speed was on display, specially in our secondary. Not too many easy completions from what I saw unlike the past few years. Flacco made some great throws, but for the most part, we were there in coverage and our blitz got to him.
I'm looking forward to Mayo getting back and how that will affect our defense.
Merriweather's a stud, McGowan is a keeper, Butler is a future starter, and Guyton's cover skills is underated.
