Free NFL RedZone today...

A heads up to fellow Pats fans. My FIOS guide is showing this pay channel will be free today 1-4 ET.

I don't think I'd normally pay extra for something we usually see on any of the channels during breaks in the action....but I'll take a look anyway.

It's channel 835 in RI.

But why only 4 Pm ?

The NFL RedZone start usually from 100pm to 730pm , and i always record it the whole show on my dvr .

I suppose, they want to give us a sample taste of the pie....without a full slice.

The red zone channel is free if you already get the NFL network, thats new this year.

Comcast just needs to broadcast it in hd and life would be good.

Yeah, I got the e-mail on this the other day. I don't care, since it's only on during the Pats game I probably won't be switching over to it.

My guess is they're trying harder to sell it since it hasn't been as successful as they hoped (and these days that's no surprise.) Course I haven't looked into the numbers or anything.

Funny you should mention that. RedZoneHD popped up on Ch. 899 here in Boston for me earlier this week.

Nope it's on the sports package which the nfl network use to be on last year. I like it except for the fact that non hd looks horrible on my tv, i did hear that comcast is adding some new hd channels soon, so i hope this is one of them.
