Chris Price believes Mayo will play 15-20 snaps on Sunday

All i can say is WOW that would be amazing, but i'll believe it when i see it. Liek others have said on other threads BB is usually ery cautious.

Ill believe that when I see it

Agreed..... seeing is believing. Usually.

Though that also depends upon how much I've had to drink.. :)

Belichick would have explaining to do as he listed him as 'doubtful' on the injury report.

Even then I'll be skeptical. Probably some Sith cloning trick. :singing:

Seriously, it would be great to see Mayo back, but not if rushing him back increases his risk of re-injury. We need him healthy for the 2nd half more than we need him now, much as it would be a boon to have him.

I don't understand why the injury is supposed to be so severe anyway. To me, it looked like someone just stepped on his foot. I've never seen an injury like that wipe a player out for the season.

this fan base has been conditioned by the likes of Eugene Wilson (questionable for 10 weeks without playing, plays 1 half out of no where and then IR'd) and many many other weird injury stories on this team. (Crable, Maroney, etc)

Basically, no one knows. Not even Chris Price. How did he come up with the snaps estimate. Maybe Welker catches 14 passes on sunday - maybe he doesn't dress. Your guess is as good as anyone's outside of the team's staff. The practice opened to reporters is the biggest dog and pony show on equal footing with a Brett Favre retirement presser.

You let a 300lb man with cleats step anywhere on or around your foot and let me know how it feels.

I saw that. I started chuckling when Tanguay started squealing and sounded like a teenage girl when Price said that. I'll believe it when I see it. I'll be psyched if we see Wilfork out there and part of me doesn't think we'll see him either.

Pats 27
Ravens 17

Price actually said that IF he plays, it will just be for about 20 snaps. He didn't say he absolutely believed he would.

He did seem sure that Vince will play, however, saying the ankle wasn't as bad as first thought.

Having Wilfork would be huge.

How about lining up Wilfork and Sands at DT with Brace and Pryor at DE, and daring the Ravens to run. That would be fun to see. Obviously not really expecting that, but it would be a sight.

I personally hope they keep Mayo on the sidelines in street clothes.......

It's tough to respond to how "amazing" this may or may not be since none of us really have any idea how bad the injury was in the first place, but this is certainly good (and unexpected) news if true.

Even if he doesn't see action Sunday, it seems he will certainly beat some of the more pessimistic estimates we originally saw. Good news!

Seeing as some of those estimates might have seen fans lining up at the Tobin bridge. . . .

I would hope that Mayo would only be used sparingly and only if the situation arised where the team desperately needed to stop the running game and the short pass in the second half.

Whats the total lbs?

Sands- 355
Wilfork?-325
Brace-330
Pryor-319ish

My god.

A naked slot receiver would certainly affect the game...
