unfortunately (and fortunately) with guyton's progressioin, Seau isnt needed

unless another injury happens, i just dont see him being a need....which is a good thing, but if the roster where unlimited, i would like to see him in a pats uni again no question

at this point though, let the future get the snaps

Seau is just looking for publicity ... he's already said he only has 6 games in those old bones.

Maybe BB should put him on speed dial for Nov-Dec just in case.
This week should be a good barometer of where our defense is at.

Personally, I would not mind Seau on the team. If Guyton goes down or gets dinged up, we have literally zero proven backup. And I would be cautious about Mayo coming back as well. If Seau still has the closing speed, I would definately make the move.

I wonder what he was doing in Boston anyway? Hmmmm, coincidence?

Maybe he's in to do a pre-game speech to the team, take the game in as a fan?

Even he doesn't play a down, his locker room presence will fill a huge void.

I would LOVE to see Seau get a ring. It would be a special moment. That said, I don't want him playing because we lost either of the kids at LB.

As far as leadership goes, the team needs to find it's NEW core and leadership and establish it's own identity without perpetually relying on players from the past or "about to be" past to keep patching things up. All teams have to evolve sooner or later. This is a period of evolution, and it's not always a pretty thing as it happens, but the Pats will be better off for it in the not too distant future.

It would be great for Junior to get a ring as a Pat.

His TV show has him riding the Zamboni for the Washington Capitals who were playing the Bruins. I think. I admit I just glanced over that part after the "What" spit out the coffee moment.:)

He keeps using the word "we." I don't think he ever left, at least not in his head.

Seau's on the record saying that he feels he could give 6 very strong games.

That would make him a good roster addition for the 12/20 game so he can tune up for the playoffs and gain revenge against the Bull against the Bills

Shadow roster? LOL. I don't think he'd last a full 16 games. We'll probably only go with Seau in an emergency. Otherwise, it's time for Guyton to earn his stripes.

Nail, head, hammer. Since Jr. didn't get hir ring in 07, then I guess it wasn't meant to be.
