Scheme wise, they just have to attack and be disruptive. Especially if Lito is out, and only Revis stands out at corner.

With Welker in the game and the rust coming off, I'd pick the Pats to win if we played the Jets again this weekend already, no question.

Really these 2-3 TE sets are probably the answer to the Jets D.

If Welker races over the middle and Moss does his thing they have issues. If one of Baker or Watson release their block and start running, things could get very messy for the Jets quickly.

They would laugh because only Galloway and the RT would be eligible receivers, and the Pats would march backwards 5 yards because Kazur forgot to report the he was eligible....

You must have 6 men on the line of scrimmage the 2 most outside guys are "eligible receivers" and must have an eligible number or report to the ref prior to the play.

I'm no X & O guy, but I assume the Jets would just run out their dime defense with 6 DBs, and still man up against the 4 wide in the cover-1 man under Belichick said they were playing. This would free up Rhodes to hang around the line of scrimmage and potentially blitz.

The only favorable matchup would be Watson vs. an LB.

Essentially, I think we'd run into the same problem we did against them in Week 2. If their corners were able to cover our wideouts, and jam them at the line, they could still rush 5 guys and give our line trouble. Plus, by putting all our wideouts on one side, it makes it a lot easier for the safety over the top.

Again, I don't know a lot about the finer points of X's and O's, but I don't think this solves the issue. The Pats receivers just have to beat the Jets corners and get separation, and they weren't doing it in Week 2.

I'd rather them run varied formations like they did against the Falcons. Use the 2 TEs to disguise run or pass and not let the defense know how many pass receiving threats are out there. That way, you could do your best to keep the Jets in their base defense, where you can create some matchups against their LBs who are not good in pass coverage.

Perhaps, but I'm just wondering if confusing the Jets coverages by flooding ne side of the field could prove beneficial to the Pats, especially Brady who might only have to worry about accounting for the Jets defenders on 1/2 the field. Surely, with the pats players knowing where to go in the pass patterns they'll cause coverage issues for the Jests when all the players are jumbled together, no?

Maybe roll Brady out with the OL in tow a few times away from the congestion looking for an open two or 3 receivers ..........

I'd assume some of these wideouts are off the line so as to get around that issue.

I'd be worried about that because depending on the routes you'd have the ball crossing a lot of defensive players en route to a receiver and Brady throwing across his body.

Also, Brady would be on the move and chucking, not ideal for him when he's at his best.

There is. In this case, Kaczur is a receiver.

Thanks, in this case, do you envision the WCB lining up on the weakside or covering one of the WR's on the other side and blitzing from that strong side?

Further, do you see them covering "zones" to the Pats weakside or just on the strongsdie
