Taylor is better than Maroney. Taylor rushed 100 yards while Maroney couldn't come close.

Why do we have 2 different results when they run behind the same OL?

If we want to improve our running game, Maroney is not the answer.

Re: Fred Taylor VS Maroney.

Dude, Maroney didn't play the whole game.

Re: Fred Taylor VS Maroney.

I think it is terrible that if we want to rate a thread we have to give at least one star.

Re: Fred Taylor VS Maroney.

Did anyone watch the series premier of Flash Forward?

Re: Fred Taylor VS Maroney.

Yeah I had to go one star too. If we want to talk about the running game fair enough but not with this thread title.

Hey, lay off Laurence Maroney. She's doing her best out there !

Yah. Kinda interesting but I'm not sure how well the writers will handle it. What did the April 2010 papers say about Maroney's 2009 rushing yardage?

Re: Fred Taylor VS Maroney.

thats not saying much taylor has been one of the best RB in the NFL for a long time maroney has not done much yet i still think if he did not get hurt or if he would get 20 to 30 touches a game he would put up good number's to

Unfortunately, nobody got to see the sports pages. It would be a great way to get rich, though.

i agree with the OP. this is the 600lb elephant in the room, isnt it?

maroney is MUCH less effective than Taylor, or Morris, or Faulk. he hasnt broken a tackle his entire career. and its just too hard to make guys miss in the NFL. if he had any value, we should unload him.

Re: Fred Taylor VS Maroney.

Maroney has been perfectly fine this year. AND it's not an either-or. One star only because zero isn't an option. Horrendous.

It's stuff like that that make me wary of the show's premise. Out of several million Pats fans, not ONE was reading the sports pages or loged onto Patsfans reading "Made of Glass" comments? (staying on football topic in this soon to be Practise Squad thread)

So Maroney is much less effective than Morris or Faulk?

Re: Fred Taylor VS Maroney.

Personally, I'll take Fred over Laurence any day. If Fred keeps running
like he has, he should get the snaps.

I'm really getting tired of all the excuses for Poor CoolAid.
He is just too inconsistent. period. He is just too slow in making
decisions and is often is wrong when he tries to do it faster.
Even kick returns .... you can see him hesitate for a second. I don't think
Maroney's problem is physical rather its metal processing.

Well, we didn't get to see everyone's "dreams" so others might have been posting here saying things like "I can't believe they left that midget Butler alone on Larry Fitzgerald!".

I think we need someone to chart how many plays Maroney is in for and how many of those are hanfoffs to him.

It seems to me like when he comes in the defenses know he is getting the ball and crowd the LOS.

Personal opinion, it looks to me like Green Ellis just flat out runs harder and tougher than Maroney. I would not mind seeing Green Ellis get some PT at the expense of Maroney.

You might get your wish next week if LoMo needs an extra week to recover from getting banged up.

Re: Fred Taylor VS Maroney.

Word out is that Maroney has a 'thigh injury' now

Is this meaning he will go as he normally does year in and year out to the IR list or miss a big chuck of games?...I hope not

Every year we here the same crap here,Maroney is going to be a star and he is going to have a big year and every year he can't come near a full season.

You can't be a star when you can't get out on the field consistently

Of course Injury is not a player's fault but if they are made of jelly you must get rid of them, why waste a roster spot?

Its getting tiresome seeing this every year,If BB has any sense he dumps this guy in the offseason for a player that is not made of glass,Why waste a roster spot on this huge 1st round bust? - Too bad we passed on Maurice Jones Drew that year,He might have been good on this team.

Re: Fred Taylor VS Maroney.

Oh boy, another Maroney bashing thread. Huzzah.
