There were two active roster DNPs yesterday, Hoyer and Brace. Does anyone know why Brace was stuck to the bench?

Not sure completely why...but at one point in the game it looked like they were subbing him in, but he got called back before he reached the defensive huddle.

So who all got reps at the DT spots after Wilfork left?

Wright played most of the game. Pryor took Wilfie's reps. I sat right behind the D bench.

At the very least, Brace might realize he needs to turn things up a notch. Not that he's in any trouble, he's a rookie. But another rookie is out there playing ahead of him.

Those two got every snap? Didn't Wright get hurt later on or was that someone else?

Yeah Wright did get hurt, but quite late on. I don't know about anyone else.

Even after Wright came out, no Brace.

I could have sworn I saw Brace (92) sub in when Wright went down...but I was in corner endzone and they where down by midfield so I could be wrong.

Did Brace seem ready, willing & able to sub for Wilfork? Did he seem engaged with the rest of the DL, or did he seem to stay to, and by, himself? Did Bill or Pepper or Mr. Peesbody converse with him, or seem to ignore him?

Enquiring minds want to know...

Gotta think that if Vince is out for a couple games, Brace and his size could be of some use in short-yardage situations.

I notch it up to a rook not knowing everything he has to do to earn playing time.

Like someone else said, after Vince went down and walked off the field, they sent Brace in. So he was part of the action. But then i think there was a TV timeout or some form of delay, when they came back, it was Pryor not Brace.

so not good for the lad. yet.

I can't say I was focused on Brace but I was surprised to see him on the bench all game. He seemed involved and there was no shunning by his peers. Once Pepper had a brief conversation with him. He was ready to go in for Wilfork but was called back. I don't know why he didn't play.

Pryor had a good training camp and is much quicker than Brace.

Pryor is a better pass rushing DT for sure. Which is what the Falcons were doing the entire 2nd half. I don't see Brace getting to the QB at that point.

Wright and Pryor

Wright started next to Big Vince to begin with. Pryor came onto the field in the 4-3 situations as the replacement for Wilfork.

I was reading one of the Boston papers today they said he went in..So uh idk lol.

It is a tad concerning a lower rounder is on the field already before him.
