Wow, that was quite a catch by Lewis at the end of the Vikings game....did the Pats get rid of the wrong guy???

Re: Joey Galloway or Greg Lewis..

Title of the thread should be "Galloway or a ham sandwich"

ham sandwich wins by a landslide

Sums it up

My thoughts exactly! Especially considering:

a). we spent a 5th round to acquire Lewis.
b). Brady-Galloway had whole off-season and preseason and 3 regular season games; Greg Lewis-Farve had only 2 weeks.

My question: why does it seem much harder to get QB-wr on the same page here than elsewhere?

For that matter, can we play blitz defense like jets?

I am jealous what Jets did to Tennessee. Collins failed to complete any of his last 13 throws when game is on the line. Sex Rexy may be a thug, but he sure can coach D.

Bill Belichick won two rings as defensive coordinator and three as head coach. It's just hilarious that you think we should emultae the "Rex Ryan way". My god, the chicken-littles are running wild here these days.

I have been less than impressed with Galloway so far, but we are in week 3. Don't forget that Lewis is playing in an offense he has been playing in his entire career since the Eagles run almost the exact same offense. That gives Lewis an advantage to come into Minnesota and make an immediate impact.

1. Fluke play does not make Greg Lewis and Brett Favre "on the same page". Cripes, the guy had 10 seconds to throw the ball. Someone was going to be open. Nice catch though.

2. As stated by almost everyone who has ever touched the Patriots organization, they run one of the most complex Defenses and Offenses in the league. Its easy to get on the same page when Minnesota is running the mathematical equivalent of 3rd grade math, and the Patriots are running quantum physics.

Different skill set. Lewis may be better but perhaps Tate/Aiken can play that role

By the end of the year, we'll be happy we kept Galloway over Lewis. Way, way more potential.

maybe we should bring in marvin harrison

at times it all most looks like galloway dose not want to catch the ball when he is about to get hit

he maybe fast but i think we are forgeting every one in the NFL is fast and at 37 he is not going to just fly by every 23 year old corner

galloway is a one trick poney post rout down the field and team's have taken that one trick away

once welker get's back and rookie step's up he will be a 37 year old #4 WR

he did not come here just to win a super bowl he came here cause no one realy wanted him

we are looking for to much from him after this year he is done

The favorite player in 75% of all NFL fan bases is the backup QB.

In the other 25% it's either the backup RB or backup WR.

Sometimes 3rd grade maths gets the job done and that is good enough. It's called keep-it-simple-stupid (KISS). Comlexity increases chances for human errors. I am not advocating we mimic Rex 100% of time but the overloading blitz has been pretty successful so far. When was the last time you see our D not allowing one completion for 13 straight passes? Never. We always seem to give up big 3rd down conversions. Weren't we ranked last in the league in that category last year. That 0-13 is what Jets did to Tenn today to end the game when the game was on the line. Collins never had the time to sync up with his receivers. I would love to see us do that.

In all fairness, ham is DELICIOUS.

Just because Galloway hasn't played well doesn't mean we should start pretending Lewis was wonderful. He didn't do much while he was here.

personally I think rob's explanation had more logic. For one I wouldn't exactly refer to any NFL offense as "3rd grade" math especially the west coast offense seeing as how the guy that created it was a friggin genius.

But I agree as far as one play doesn't make it a far comparison at this point in the season. But I think we are all on our last drop of patience koolaid and to take anymore would be suicide by drowning. It's not same page stuff more like catch the damn ball stuff!!!

Well It wasn't hard for Welker and Moss to get on the same page in 07 when they were the new WR's in town.

They obviously had a BRAIN......
Galloway sux, but Tommy is throwing the ball like a fkn JV team backup QB.
