How were the rookies?

Pryor had a nice batted pass which went about 20 - 25 feet straight up but fell to ground along the line of scrimmage without an intercetion.

Edelman had a dropped pass which hurt, but continued to impress overall with some nice catches and a 6 yard run on an end around.

Kinda crazy... but the rookies who could end up having the most impact are possibly all the low rounders : Pryor, Edelman, Ingram.

I know he isn't a rookie, but Wheatley showed very well today. Outside of one 3rd down play where he was too wide out of his turn, he was in position good position all game long. Not perfect, but darned impressive considering the receivers and the fact that Wilhite and Butler weren't available.

Completely agree... with Wilhite and (seemingly) Butler having passed him on the depth chart, he comes in out of nowhere and does the job. ATL passing, so potentially dangerous, was completely taken out of game - and running game non-existant as well. Very impressed by all defenders.

With his limited play lasy year I will call him a rookie! Nice to see the youth in the secondary appearing to show poised and long term potential. Julian E will only improve and could be very good down the road. Let him keep learning from Welker. Appreciate the input!

all receivers need to pick it up a bit, randy moss could give alot more effort in going up for balls, im still not high on galloway, brady was better...oline played pretty good..defense real good in coverage, wheatley played well like i said he would...hes better than wilhite boys, ive been preaching this for awhile..watson te's looked pretty sharp in catching the ball..thk u watson for finally playing up to ur draft status here lately

That doesn't take away from how he's looked so far.

The draft class is intriguing for sure and we need to keep it up with 1,2,2,2 next year and 1,1,2 the year after. This draft and those 7 picks will go a long way in determining how we do through 2015 and the rest of Brady's career.

Wow... I mean, i knew they had all those picks, but when you put them next to each other like that it looks amazing. Given we're almost perfect picking in the first round and about 50/50 in the second, we're looking at nabbing 5 quality players over the next two years.

What I mean is that the main reason the rookies are looking good is because we got rid of alot of big-time Vets in front of them giving them playing time. So, given that, I suggest the opportunity is as if not more important than the quality of the draft. Having alot of 1s and 2s is great on paper, but paper doesnt play the game. We give up a 5th and some $$ to get Lewis ....and cut him and keep Edleman. We lose versatile players like Vrabel and Hochstein replacing them with D.Burgess and a rookie.....time will tell. Having that many high picks only means one thing to me, that is guys we like are going to continue to get cut and rotate their way through this team. Chad Jackson, Kevin OConnell, Kareem Brown, Crable and a slew of others were draft picks. Thats all they were.

As a minor note, part of the reason the Pats were willing to give up a 5 for Lewis is that they would be getting him for three seasons at reasonable money, with no money upfront.

bb made brilliant offseason moves this year, especially for the future..including seymour and obviously vrabel, cassel...the thing i woulda have done different was release galloway and i would have said this in preseason

I think Edelman and Pryor have been nothing short of fantastic this season considering where we drafted them

Edelman IS mini Welker and Brady is comfortable throwing him the ball. He gets open, runs good routes, blocks, makes YAC. Considering Brady isnt in a rhythm yet he's done brilliantly - he'll have a long career as a slot receiver. I love the kid

Pryor seemed to play nearly every down yesterday,was always in there and perhaps the best compliment when Vince went out, he stood up and we didnt get killed by the run

When you consider that Vollmer, Butler and Chung havent even really seen the field yet it makes what these two are doing especially special
