Ian's Daily Blog - Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork suffered an ankle injury late in the 2nd quarter and limped off the field before heading back to the locker room. He had two tackles in the game one solo, and one combined before leaving the field.

Hope it's not serious. But maybe we'll finally get to see Ron Brace play. He looked great in preseason, but it's hard to contribute if you aren't on the field.

vince is not in there 1st drive of the 2nd - bad bad news - Turner is probably going to go for 80 yds this half.

Wrong!

I'll be anxious to find out the extent of his injury.

I thought Brace subbed in for him, but it may have been Pryor. Anyone know?

Pryor is the one that I noticed. I did not notice Brace at all, buthe could have been there.

defense played well without him

so he didnt return to the game at all?

I noticed Pryor getting a lot of pressure in the middle ... kid has a high motor in him.

Shows the depth of this team, big Vince goes down and the D does not miss a beat... very good day.

I noticed a lot of Pryor in the first half before Big V went down.

I think Wright was in a lot until he got hurt then Brace went in there.

All the doom and gloom if he didn't get paid seems way too premature after that performance by the defense...

Surprised he didn't come back. looked okay walking down the stairs

Guys use your head. He walked off the field with an ankle injury. If he tore his achilles or broke his ankle he wouldn't be able to do that. He is not going to be out for the season. It's likely some sort of sprain. Worst case is a high ankle sprain and he's out 6-8 weeks.

I thought Pryor played well in Wilfork's absence. I didn't see Brace out there. I think we'll see him more later in the season.

brady walked down the stairs to last year

i do hope he's ok

I am not sure if your serious .... Brady limped down the stairs gingerly .... Wilfork practically ran down the stairs

I'd guess garden variety sprained ankle. Don't think they want you walking on a high ankle sprain.

No MD-Holiday Inn

There's no comparison to the way Brady left the field last year against KC and the way Wilfork did today. None.

cept that one is about 350 and would have much more difficulty walking on a bad ANKLE, then a guy half his weight walking off with a KNEE injury.

But other than that, yeah, they are just alike.
