It's hard to see how Miami bounces back from that game.

My game analysis --

They run the wildcat.

They can't run anything else.

Was that the Miami Dolphins or the Miami Sound Machine playing D?

Colts are going to have to improve against the run to make some noise this year.

I don't speak for everyone else on this forum of course, but thanks. I'd rather face the Colts in the playoffs than see the Pats lose the division. Just sits bad in the mouth having the Dolphins, Jets or Bills take it.

And, frankly, if I can't watch Brady play elite (yet), I do like watching Peyton (in the regular season).

I thought the Dolphins played their rears off. I guess some of their fans are just as batsh!t crazy as some of ours.

It was a heck of a game ... the Fins didn't finish it. Manning had all day on that final drive.
Pierre Garcon ... like what the heck was up with not touching him on that play?

It is fun watching that wildcat but what is up with that defense ... so not Parcells with that crew.

Finheaven is the best....NOBODY obsesses like Phin fan

they thought he was a French waiter about to deliver them their victory wine

Agreed. They obviously could not figure out how to defend the wildcat. They were way over pursuing. If they would have just held their ground and let the play come to them I think they would have fared better. That and don't have a safety playing 15 yards down field, they are not going to throw.

With a little more film and game preparation, any good good run defense will shut down Miami. They have no legitimate passing game and their passing defense is awful. The Wild Cat won't last long... nor will the Dolphins.

If Indy figures out how to use Donald Brown, he could add a nasty dimension to that team. I'm particularly worried about him receiving the ball in space.

That kid looks like a stud. It looks like the Colts are using the same running back rotation plan they did with Rhodes and Addai when the went to the Super Bowl. I hope it has the same result.

I thought the Colts D reacted similarly to the way ours did last year in the first matchup, and that surprised me; I figured that embarrassment would be exhibit A for the Colts of how not to play the wildcat.

I loved Donald Brown last year. Thought he was the best RB in the draft for the Pats, and he was on my short list of players if he lasted to 34. When Indy drafted him I thought it could mean trouble. I agree with you about getting him the ball in space.

Manning had all day?

That drive took about 42 seconds off the clock. He was blitzed on the Garcon WR screen and just got it off in time. Great call. I thought that they left too much time on the clock. With a more potent offense, that might've backfired. Pennington, to his credit, marched that impotent offense back down the Colts throats. The horeshoes were clearly spent, having been out there for about 409 minutes already.

Great game and finish. I cannot believe that I was rooting for Mannings to come through on two consecutive nights. Wierd world, the NFL.

The Fins' defense was terrible. Their offensive gameplan was enough to win that game, having limited Manning and that offense to 15 minutes on the field, or one quarter. But, when they had the opportunities, the Colts offense scored. They might have "played their rears off" but, last time I checked, "playing your rear off" doesn't earn brownie points... much less victories.

It's really hard to rush for over almost 240 yards, put up over 400 yards of total offense, have possession of the ball for almost 45 minutes, and still lose. Up to yesterday I would have said impossible. But still, really, really, hard.
