Brady in the Pocket

why not bring in mike shanahan to help like they did with dom capers last year on D

because guys like mike shanahan would be too proud to come back as an assistant.

Brady is making technique errors and there doesn't seem to be anyone there to help.

After Peyton's troubles last year, it does make sense that Brady will need some time to get back to 100%. But there should be some folks who run the show. After all they are getting paid to be QB coach and OC and head coach for that matter.

100% agree with this assessment. Only QB that's pretty much comparable to TB is Peyton Manning and he has pretty crappy first few games. If I remember correctly, it took them a bit to fire on all cylinders.

brady has always been great when he's had tone of time in the pocket. which it seemed like he always had for years. idk if he was always as immobile as he looked yesterday.....but i know he was never the same when you got pressure on him and yesterday he looked particularly old when he tried to move.

Go back to your own board. You don't know **** about how Brady is with little time in the pocket......Brady always.....always makes his time with little slide moves. Being away for a year will take time to work the rust off.

Never the same when you got pressure on him.....thanks for the football insight. No QB is the same when you get pressure on him......none.

Typical Jester fan.....play it up now.....the Jesters won their Superbowl for the year. You're the type that if the Jesters had lost yesterday would never be here on this board today.......just leave already.....please.

Teams have figured out that they need to blitz up the middle with Tom to negate his slide moves and not allow him to step up. That's what they did for the most part yesterday and that's what the Giants did. I think we could have helped him out with some screen plays or swing out passes but they never came.

I think everyone had unreal expectations when it came to Tom coming back from injury. Even our OC is calling plays like we're back in 07. You can tell he isn't comfortable and it's gonna take a while for him to get back to form.

It's been the exact opposite of what you say. Brady has excelled when you pressure him because men open up, he buys time, and makes the accurate throw. You need to check Brady's stats for when he's faced blitzes and been pressured. His completion % skyrockets to the 75% range.

This OL is like the elephant in the living room.

Brady is a pocket passer with exceptionally deft pocket presence. That's when he has a pocket to operate within. He's never been comfortable scrambling and tossing it on the run. Screws up his mechanics and his are impeccable which is why he was so accurate on the Watson throws last week... I guess people dodn't notice the inevitable downside Romo and even Eli not to mention Ben and the all time gunslinger Favre experience on the run.

Grass is always greener, I guess...

i posted this before. brian billick showed on film on NFLN that its very hard to screen a rex ryan defense because of the overloaded blitz scheme...

Lot of throws off the back foot, I don't think there's anything with the shoulder, I was actually amazed at his arm strength still managing to zing some of the throws in even though they were off the back foot. It just lost him accuracy.
