I did not , but I do expect a wr of Joey Galloway caliber to do a little bit better than that... I expect a Oline to at least run block a little bit better.. And I expect Tom Brady will be fine , and we will be fine, but its not 07, its the 09 Pats are a work in progress, and will get settled down and be fine by week 9.. Its just this team played scared all day, the jets did all this talking and backed it up , give them credit.. But the way we lost is why we as fans are frustrated..

I don't expect 07 Brady...yet. But I think (hope) he'll be making an appearance sometime this season.

I dont think we'll ever see the 07 Brady again. But by week 10, 11 or 12 we should see a better Brady than we've seen in game 1 and 2.

I didnt expect 09 Brady but I certainly didnt think we'd have the worst offense in the NFL..

The novelty of Moss and Welker has worn off. No surprising teams at this point. Also the Jets have one of the best D's in the league. I am not worried about the offense. They should finish the year as one of the top 5 in the league.

They could definately help him by running it better. They just are'nt built to cram it down peoples throats. Maybe Kendall Simmons will change that some.

I certainly didn't, as you don't have to be a genius to figure this team needs time to come together and gel. However, there were a TON of homers who were basing this year on past year's success. For example, I thought we could have a 11-5/12-4 record and have a shot at making the playoffs--that prediction was based on the fact that we face a very hard schedule. People can deny this fact all they want, but there is no doubt the schedule will be challenging to say the least.

There are actually people here who keep forcing themselves to deny this fact, I even heard some claiming "they didn't see any challenges the first half of the season!!" As a matter of fact, some even were predicting another unbeaten season, it's almost like they haven't ever watched football before. We'll lose on the road, we'll lose at home, we'll lose in the division once or twice, and we'll lose a game no one thought we'd lose. It's just the nature of football, where the parity keeps rising in this league.

So to answer the OP's question, some certainly did expect automatic perfection--why, I'm not sure though? Just take a look at the season's prediction threads, and the threads on us being "favored" in every single game this year:D Some are beer bonging the kool-aid, not even chugging it, let alone sipping it slowly. When you set yourself up like that, it's just asking for failure. There are many teams in this league who are damn good, and can win in any single game.

I guess I did. I can't stand this play calling though, the 50 passes a game have got to stop, and we need more designed screens and draws. People are just pinning their ears back and going full throttle in the pass rush

Both games this year has played out like SB XLII, helmet catches withstanding

I didn't but I expected the offensive to be a hell of a lot better than it has been the past two weeks.

Yes, I did. The question was how many games it would take for Brady and the offense and the offenses coaches (we need some) to get into synch. We still don't have that answer.

Funny how people are saying this now. Most on this site expected really close to 2007 numbers.

I think most of the people on this board and in Patriot Nation did. Don't let them fool you. Most of them, if not all of them, did. Hindsight is 20/20.

I posted my comment before reading yours but said the same thing. Everyone is going to post how they didn't expect the same thing, and most of them are lying through their teeth.

I really did expect 07 Brady. Honestly. Not even afraid to say it.

That said, I can also accept that he needs time to get better. And I also have to admit I didn't realize what a fantastic job McDaniels was doing. (And even Weiss for that matter.) The playcalling in these games have been HORRIBLE. Add to that I miss seeing beautiful looking Brady deep balls. I hope he gets that back sooner than later.

07 will never happen again and to expect it is ignorant

Don't tell the Saints. I think Brees will break Bradys record.
