A look back at Patriots history says they can turn this around. The key is Brady getting together with his receivers. The defense looked ok.

LOL, 18-1...yea haha

we need an offense....

a loss is never a good thing my man especially when it's against one of your division rivals..NE is lucky they aren't 0-2

Hey, I'm feeling pretty lucky right now. This team is about an inch away from having gone 0-2 to start the season. 1-1 is looking pretty good to me.

reminded me of the cassell days..nuttin but FG's & missed red zone opportunities..hopefully the offensive line will be able to give brady some time to throw next time cuz the defense wasnt that bad.

If the OL can't play better and we can rush the QB; its going to be a long season.

Is it time to put Vollmer in? He looked good in buffalo when he play LT. He has great footwork!!

I felt better because it was cassel. Brady playing like this is worrying. I can only hope that he finds his groove and get it together soon enough

:) haha it was sure a lot less stressful not having high expectations when cassel was QB but Brady just got back from a year off..His timing is still off & will probably find his old swagger as the season progresses. If NE is playin like this in week 10 then you can worry haha

It is all about epectations. Everyone expected Brady to just start where he left off in 2007. If it took Manning a few weeks to come back it only makes since to take Brady a few. It is worse because the Patriots refuse to run the ball to take the pressure off of Brady.

They keep playin like this and week 10 wont matter.

I dont think they can run. This olines best days are behind them. Maybe a line shake up will work. Putting Vollmer in at lt and moving Light to guard.

This team is a miracle away from being 0-2. It has looked bad in BOTH games. On both offense and defense. So far, this is not a very good football team.

:) true.Just give em some time..Welker was out & he makes a huge difference on 2nd & 3rd downs..Moss was pretty much a ghost today..Mayo is out too & he makes a pretty big difference in the middle.

The 2008 Colts were 35024423023 miracles away from being 7-9, they went 12-4. They started out 3-4.

Calm down.

Things always look bleak after a loss. And no, there's really no benefit to losing, particularly to a division rival. You hope for the win, because BB is not going to let a team get complacent after a win, so the loss aspect isn't beneficial.

Having said that, things aren't so bad. Brady and the offense overall needs some time to get a rhythm down, and the playcalling has been somewhat uninspired. I do think the O-line play has been a bit worrying, but we're likely to see improvement there through the season.

The defense is very encouraging--the revamped secondary could really be a strength, and the front 7 hasn't played badly. There could be a benefit to Mayo being out for a stretch--if the others step up, when he comes back the Pats could really have something.

Overall, I'd say this is a return to the Pats improving throughout the year and peaking for the playoffs, as they've done when they've won championships. Spare me the 40 point September wins that don't end with a Super Bowl! Losing to the Jets sucks, their fans and coach are annoying, etc. But let 'em have their day in the sun--it will make the Pats' ultimate triumph that much sweeter.

Yea i'm not sure how I feel about this season so far. I'm beginning to wonder if Brady's shoulder is still bothering him, either that or (very likely) it's still rust. Yea, the O-Line has looked brutal for the most part, but he's missed way too many passes that would have been completed in 2007.

Lack of running game isn't help either.. also, I haven't seen them use the screen pass against that blitz much.. have they been?

No need to panic the oline did a good job today, they gave up on the run, Taylor looked good, did he get hurt, and Maroney played well also, don't want to peak to early!
