Some People say that this year Ladanian is going to go back to his all-pro best RB in the NFL days, while some say he is pretty much washed up.

Looks like the washed up gang could be right,He is definately getting a little bit more injured every year and has a screwed up ankle early in the season already.

i will say this about him he has over 3000 touchs and over 15000 total yerds and 132 TD in 9 seasons in the nfl

he plays the toughest position in the nfl its hard to play at a HOF level every year with out geting hurt when u get hit at lest 20 times a game

and for a lot of years the chargers where a bad team where every one would just focus and try to stop him

he's not the same player he was but he is still good

i think the chargers set them selfs back a few years by tradeing drew brees there windown for winning a SB closed

Wouldn't want him for free... what would we do with him ? Useless. Thank goodness he is the classiest man on the face of the Earth who's family name isn't Dungy.

Are you saying the Chargers have little shot to win the SB this year - I highly disagree

The Chargers are loaded with talent better than most teams in the nfl - What they lack are two things,The HC and immaturity - If they somehow get by those two or improve in those areas, they have a really good chance to win it all in 09

Losing Michael Turner really hurt them last year but Sproles is very good.

September 2009. No need to list previous accomplishments. Yesterday doesn't help them win the 2010 SB. Today he is putrid - he just thinks he's all that. He reminds me of the King of Pop in the few years leading up to his untimely death...

Some people around the league as well as locally get on Bill Belichick for being 'heartless', having no 'loyalty' to his players, etc. This is an example of what could happen when you keep fan favorites regardless of the consequences. A year ago Michael Turner walked as a free agent and he went on to run for 1699 yards and 17 touchdowns - both numbers being the second highest by a RB in the NFL in 2008. Tomlinson by comparison ran for 1110 yards and 11 TD. Think some San Diego fans are wishing the team had found a way to keep Turner today?

It's also something to keep in mind when assessing the Richard Seymour trade. Better to trade a player a year early than a year late may sound cold and heartless, but it's a true statement.

Completely agree... I root for the team - not fall in love with the players. If a Brady trade would garantee a SB (obv it wouldn't, but play along), I'd trade him in a heartbeat. Anything for the win. Stomping on grandma's face - not a problem. Win. Trade the older stars to accomplish if need be.
