New England Patriots (1-0) at New York Jets (1-0)

I buy the Rex Ryan kool-aid. I also buy that Leon Washington is going to be a major matchup problem for the New England linebackers, who made Fred Jackson look like Bo Jackson on Monday night.

well, I guess we should pack it in and not even make the trip...

PETER KING said we are gunna lose....we are dooooooooooooooomed!

(Insert scary Vincent Price "Thriller" laugh here)

Well doesn't this mean we are now going to blow the jest outta the water ???

I'm reminded of the first 3 games to Glory DVD.....Gino's VO at the start of the Pittsburgh game :

"Despite the prognistications of DOOM, the Patriots have taken the field and WILL take on the Pittsburgh Steelers"

I just watched that in the past couple of weeks. That was very funny.

Geez. He's a Bostonian now. You'd think he would know better.

Can't really blame him. I think a lot of people are going to follow suit. Pats didn't look great on Monday, Jets did (on Sunday). Short week for NE, Mayo out injured. There are a lot of things in the Jets favor. Personally, I'd rather have the Pats come in with a little underdog swagger. And think how good it'll be when Brady and the offense hang 30+ points on them come Sunday.

What a buffoon that King is. Doesn't he know that the defense played solidly? Just another fool who overly relied on his eyes (like Deus, mgteich and others) to conclude that the defensive effort was suspect.

They hate their coach !!!! :D

Dear Glogan...I'm a Jets fan and humbly ask what makes you think Brady will hang 30+ points? Just curious...and if you're wondering I can't stand the crap that Kerry's been slingin...love the "swagger and confident play" on the field but respect Brady and Bill for taking the high road. Anyway, would like to hear what's behind your 30+ statement.

I think they are the favorite, giving what was said about our injuries and defense, but I like being the underdog as well.

This is nothing more than one big blowhard drinking the Kool-Aid of another. "Drinking the Rex Ryan kool-aid"?? What writer actually says that??

And they also made Lee Evans look like Charles Rogers. And TO look like 'Big' Mike Williams. Youre just hoping these goofs can view things objectively.

The Jesters are the flavor of the week right now. After the beatdown the Pats put on them come Sunday the mediots will regain their senses. Can't wait to hear PK et al eat some crow on Monday morning when the NE bandwagon gets crowded again. For now, just enjoy the extra leg room. :D

He's probably liquored up like Broadway Joe! I think as long as we keep those two away from Suzy Kolber we'll be alright!;)

Point Taken.

We gave up 16 points to the Bills, it wasn't the worst defensive effort of all-time.

Re: Peter King: "New England linebackers...made Fred Jackson look like Bo Jackson"

the only drive i had a problem with our defense was the drive that ultimately led to a TD making the score 24-13. besides that, i was pretty pleased with the D. id like to get more pressure on the QB, but hopefully itll come. Richard Seymour would definitely help right now. his versatility on the line in a 4-3 is amazing...good deal for the raiders, they better sign him

3 runs longer than 5 yards, long of 16.
7 runs of 3 yards or less, 2 for losses.

That isn't Bo Jackson. More like Michael Jackson. Maroney has that stat line and he gets killed in the media.

Dude had a fine game. The play that Mayo got hurt, he hit the hole like a shot. Made good yardage on a handful of screens and scored a huge TD in the 4th quarter. But lets keep it real with players who do well against the Pats.
