Hey everyone ... been slacking lately when it comes to posting here. Here's the latest, a look at the young linebackers and how they're preparing if they don't have Jerod Mayo.

Christopher Price | Without Mayo, Pats Linebackers Moving Forward

Don't forget to hit me up on Twitter at twitter.com/capeleaguer. And don't be shy about telling me what you think.......

Nice article......good job.

Thanks for linking it!

Chris...I just wonder if they have the depth to make up for an important player like Mayo being injured?? Will Guyton play MLB in the 4-3?? Is that possible? What about Ninkovitch moving outside..having Thomas inside? Do you think they will bring any players in? Seems like a solid idea...but..I think the LBs will have a tough time with the Jets...

I hate the thought of having to enter the next few weeks (and possibly longer) without Mayo. However, I really have a good feeling about Guyton stepping in if that's what the Pats decide to do. Even if they move AD to inside, I would feel pretty good about it.

I think we all know where to find you but it is nice when you post the links for us

This week will tell us a lot I think. Guyton is getting the job in the middle for now and we'll see if getting to practice there all week will prepare him to do well. He has good speed especially for a guy his size. The Jets have a good running game so it will be a really good test. If Thomas can't go that is going to be a big problem.

I think moving AD inside is a distinct possibility, but then, that leaves you a little think outside. I don't think they've brought in any linebackers this week. (Lake was in today, but I don't think anything came of that.) If I was a betting man, I'd wager that they're gonna keep Guyton in the middle, at least this week.

This situation really blows.

Of all the positions...it would have to be our DROY ILB and Tommy looks hungry.
I have faith in the D crew though.
I made it through the 80's and 90's-I can wait a few weeks.

But seriously.....f.c.s......

Give him a shot and a leg brace.

Let's go beat the New York Jest!

Guyton and AD will be our core inside guys.
I like AD on the outside but he's damn good at the inside too

This reminds me of 2004 when Ty Law and other DBs were lost for some significant playing time. We had Troy Brown as a slot corner and some JAG named Earthwind Moreland starting. The Patriots adapt. That's what they do.
