Frickin' Dan Snyder.......

Once again the "Ticket" pays off, my house is in that little strip of grey area (no CBS game) on the GA coast (they consider us jacksonville territory) but they also consider us Falcons territory, so we get no CBS game because we get the Falcons game on FOX.

What is funny about this, is last week they did not show the Falcons/Miami game on network TV in favor of the Jax game.

I would check out www.tvguide.com\listings, once updated the seem to be one of the more reliable. I looked at zip code 90001 in LA and the local game on CBS does appear to be Raiders - Chiefs. But it might be different for your specific cable company (I didn't see Cox listed).

Good Luck!

Here in SC, I'm two and a half hours from the Jacksonville stadium but not in their TV area.

If you look they consider Savannah a "secondary market" for Jacksonville, evnethough most people living here are from Ohio...............it really pissed off a friend of mine, he had to come to my house to watch the Falcons game last week.

From what I have seen the last few years the506.com does a much better and quicker job of accurately updating what games are being played where than tvguide.com, titantv.com, zap2it, etc.

It is my understanding that initially the networks assign games to all the local stations for what game they will broadcast in their area. Then the local station may ask for a different game. The network then either approves or rejects that request. So in the time between when the maps come out on Wednesday and the weekend, you'll see some changes in a few markets every week in regards to what games they air.

Some stations tend to try to show another division game whenever possible (Chiefs-Raiders.) Others go with the best available game (Pats-Jets.) And others go with a local player angle, such as the Wisconsin station that aired all the Jets games last year (Brett Favre) or the Knoxville station that shows as many Colts games as possible (Peyton Manning went to U of Tennessee.) I'm guessing LA would get the best available game while San Diego would get the AFC West game.

There may be blackout situations that could alter what games are broadcast this week too, though that wouldn't alter the Pats being on tv in SoCal.

I'll try to find something more definitive for you and let you know once I get a response.

I get the L.A. channels (I live 2-3 hours away) and the Patriots-Jets game is on my DirecTV guide to be on Channel 2 so I think it is on locally.

I was going to take my Sunday Ticket for it's maiden voyage this weekend but after all the trash talk I'm going to Sonny McCleans to watch it with Patriot Nation. I'm going to need to high fives after every Pats TD.

FYI, someone that lives there said they believe KCBS is owned by CBS and generally broadcasts the national game (which would be the Pats - Jets) unless the Chargers are playing (they're playing later) and they typically air the biggest national game rather than another AFC West game. So if that information is correct then past history would indicate that you'll get the Pats game in the LA area.
