He is being brought up to pitch next week since Wakefield won't be ready for awhile, hope he does good. If he could come back strong it would be huge for this team and our run to the postseason. I am not expecting to see him do very good for the first game since it will be his first game back in the majors since the spring, but the second will be a big game for him.

He did well in his last rehab start. You're right, all of his starts will be big, not just for him, but for the team's chances in Oct.

They really need to change the World Baseball Classic. It's clear Dice-K blew him arm out winning the classic for Japan, and wasn't right all season.

If Dice-K can get back to last year when he had the lowest b.avg-against in the entire league, then the Sox will have a strong 1-2-3.... IF Beckett gets his act together too.

I dunno, with the way Buchholz is pitching, I think Daisuke is the 4. Which is fantastic.

His start is scheduled for tomorrow, should be interesting to see. We got great pitching in the Tampa Bay sweep this weekend from Beckett, Lester, and Buchholz. Hopefully we get it all together before end of season.

I'm sorry but I expect nothing positive from Dice K the rest of this year. Most likely going to be a lost season imo.

I agree ... I just hope Dice-K can go 6 innings now rather than the usual 5. Whatever he gives us is a bonus at this point. clay is pitching well enough that we have our 3 playoff pitchers that we need.

Beckett is still a mess and a big question mark to be counted on for the playoffs. Actually, this whole season has been weird and I don't think the Sox have 'it' this year.

The Sox pitching coach is a moron for trying to force Dice-K to change his approach this year. The pitcher was a 18 game winner last year, had the league best b.avg against. Meanwhile, this Sox pitching coach has barely passable experience, as the Indians former minor league coordinator (not even a pitching specialist).

Dice K and his weak ass shoulder pitching in the WBC is to blame.

4 innings ... no Angels hits yet ... Dice-K is dealing and not nibbling.

Well it's nice to see ... let's hope it lasts.

Papi's up ... he's going long I hope.

Crap ... Lackey's pitching tight tonight.

Pleasantly surprised by Dice K tonight.

You bastard!:D

Dice-K had a good night ... shutout till he just got plucked.

I'm no body fitness expert but I'd say he's down about 25-30 lbs with much less body fat.

Dice-K pitched 6 innings while throwing 93 pitches, gave up 3 hits, 3 walks, struck out 5 and did not allow any runs. Welcome back Dice-K! Just in time for the playoffs, we need you buddy!

Couldn't ask for a better night.

Especially considering this is the team we'll be facing in the first round, things looking great!

Yeah and I could easily add lackey to my Angel hate list.

Dude is such an obnixious hot head.
