Tom Brady: AFC Offensive Player of the Week!

I would like to prematurely nominate Tommy for offensive player of the year. Just because.

I'll second that motion.
I'll 3rd it, but realistically I think Drew Brees deserves it. Although what Tommy did in the last 5 minutes certainly tops anything for closing speed.

Good point. How the Hell does Brees not take this award running away?

Brady threw for more yards and came from behind...Brees played in a cakewalk

They played the lions, and even if just a little, the lions were in that game untill the 4th. Brady throws 6 td passes in a game, and he is sitting on the bench chilling by the end of the third.

Brees is in the NFC guys...

heh...nice catch...columnist Patsox 23 should have known this

Joker, he played in a cakewalk because HE played. Brees is the one who made it a cakewalk.

That said, I'm sure that was the working theory of the guys who determine this nonsense.

Ummmmmmm, because it's pretty hard for an NFC player to win the AFC player of the week. Just saying.

I am very happy to be wrong about this, and feel a little silly about the AFC-NFC thing. It must have been the Versed (if you know what they use that for, you know what I had on Monday).

We've become spoiled by Brady, I think. And by "we" I mean Patriots fans as well as the sports media. All they could talk about was how rusty Brady looked in the first half, how he was nursing the knee, etc.,. Yeah, he was a bit off. But he also had players dropping catchable balls. So, we've heard about how it'll take a while for him to find his feet again... and what does he do? 39-for-53, a stunning 73% completion rate, for 378 yards and two TDs, and one INT that was the result of a good athletic defensive play. If that's rusty, I can't wait for well-oiled...

Let's hope Tom NEVER wins NFC player of the week

ive been watching the replay of this comeback, and i get goosebumps everytime i see this stare right after he completes the pass to welker, right before the go ahead TD...
