Before I go, I want to just say the Jets fans are going insane. On their forums they are calling this an EASY win :p

Hmm..... lets see....

You have a ROOKIE quarterback in his 2ND NFL START going against Belichicks defensive schemes.

Last time Brady played you in september, he carved your defense up like a pumpkin. The last 5 minutes shows the power of the offense.

Yet, you guys are acting like your the AFC favorite LMAO.

Of course they are insane they are Jets fans!

The Jets are cursed and it is just a matter of time before Sanchez cracks.

We just need to put some pressure on him and knock him around a little bit.

Cut us some slack, it takes a certain type to be a Jets fan.... You have to be willing to deal with disappointment after disappointment with the belief that the juice will be worth the squeeze. Kinda like being a Pats until 10 years ago. Anyone saying this will be an easy win is drinking the Kool Aid, not the case. I think the Jets have the better talent and will win the game. However, in the recent past, the Jets have been on the doorstep before and not been able to push the door open. But you gotta admit Pats fans, Sanchez looks like the real deal... he will have some growing pains this year, but the kids is going to be special.

Link? I haven't heard any Jets fans calling it an easy win. It's going to be an incredibly tough game. I can understand some optimism from Jet fans though.

How can anyone cut slack when you come here and say you think the Jets have more talent?
On the doorstep of what? You havent even competed for this division in 7 years, and last year, when we didnt have Tom Brady, you were still 2 games behind us.
Please explain what talent you have added to your 9-7 team that made it surpass our 11-5 team that added the GOAT at QB.

Our RBS are better
Our O Line is better
Our LBs are better
Our Secondary is better

The Patsies get the edge at QB and WR. oh and kicker and punter.

D Line is a toss up.

What i am saying is this, if you could build a team using both rosters, there would be more Jets starting that Patsies.

. The last 5 minutes shows the power of the offense.

.

You can take a small sample of fans and generalize them all you want, but doing something like that is about as logical as taking a small sample of plays and trying to generalize or predict offensive production.

If you said something like "what the team was able to do last season without Tom Brady shows how good the players on offense are, and what they can do if they get on the same page next week", I wouldn't be writing this.

I know I'm not insane. And I'm smart enough to know that one game from a rookie QB, one dominant defensive performance, and one 5 minute period of offensive production guarantees nothing on a different day against a different team.

We patsies have our work cut out for us.

The jesties deserve to lose just because...but that doesn't mean they will.

If the Pats play like teh they did last night (patsy like) then we'll lose for sure, I believe.

Lets see, maybe addition by subtraction works for Jets fans.....
remove Lord Farve
remove Mangenius
add Dirty Sanchez
add Tubby Wrecks.......

uh.......nevermind....

Well, we Pats fans must be insane too.

I can pull up about 50 posts from last week that had the mindset last night was going to be a cakewalk.

We do not have better talent than the Pats. Please shut up.

Won't happen. They will come to play, both teams will. I think it will be a close first half. The game will be decided at half time in my opinion, when the adjustments will be made to stop whatever works for the opponent on offense and exploit the opportunities on defense.

how are the RB's better? the pats ran for more yards last year and added fred taylor

how is the OL better?

mayo is the best LB in the whole group, and there aren't any jets OLB's that have a thing on adalius thomas....none of your LB's can cover a TE

the pats DL is deeper.......starters are about equal

are you talking about the same jets secondary that let cassel throw for 400 yards? oh .... yeah.. ... jim leonard and lito sheppard.....I forgot

you clowns were saying the same thing this time last year

You are simply out of your mind.
But thats OK, you can keep all those players you have never won anything with, and we will keep ours that we win consistently with.
You have a wealth of excuses to use when the 'were better on paper' plan fails.

The Pats running backs aren't even close to as good as the Jets. Not even close, having a bunch of marginal backs doesn't make a formidable stable. Thomas Jones led the AFC in rushing last year and Leon Washington would start on NE.

The Jets O Line is one of the best in football.

Mayo is hurt and both Scott and Harris are better MLBs.

Your D Line is not deeper, you've traded away that depth for a 1st round pick in 2011

Yes we do, please blow me

They have Tom ******* Brady, maybe the best QB to ever play the game. I think you're right about the area's of the field you mentioned but it just doesn't balance out like that.

I agree, would throw in our secondary too. I actually think our line is THE best in football.

That still doesn't make us the more talented team.

I can see why the Jets fans can be excited. But it could be false exuberance. They may be falling into the classic trap of putting too much weight in what happens the first week of the season. What you see in the first week and what unfolds in a 16 game season could be two very different things.

What if the Jets just were overly prepared for week one or the Texans just suck? What if the Pats were just not approaching last night's game as serious competition and needed to be smacked in the face to wake out of going through the motions or the Bills are just far better than people give them credit for? It is dangerous to make bold predictions this early in the season based on one game.
