i disagree with the CW here. i actually thought they were pretty good, especially since it was Gruden's first night on the job and they were obviously lobbing him high hangers a few times. he did make a few rookie mistakes, but otherwise i liked his take and the back and forth with Jaws.
Jaworski's breakdown of Brady's foot and leg movements and pocket mobility in the first half was really good and he complemented that by showing the times when he was stepping into throws like the "old TB."
i actually thought they were overhyping the Pats at the beginning and then went overboard in the other direction when the game was definitely going to be competitive.
as for pulling for the upset, it was their job to keep hyping that story line and make sure viewers stayed glued to their sets; plus, let's face it, 90% of the country outside Patriots Nation wanted the upset, except for folks who had a lot of money on the spread.
speaking of the spread, two teams that were picked to win by more than a combined 20 points, with 90% of the money going their way, won by a a total of five. lots of happy bookies and unhappy bettors this morning.
