Is Simon Cowell doing the judging?

so carolina finally has a QB? LOL

OT: such a bad deicision to pick up Steve Smith in fantasy....

We need a bigger popcorn icon for Philly...

Eagles now have three former Pro-Bowl quarterbacks.

Jeff Garcia is the most recent.

The Eagles will probably trade up for Sam Bradford next year, just to keep on the bench.

So who does that leave us?

When people point to pro bowls I always what Brady told Felger one year when he was overlooked (off the record of course but Felgie had to spill the beans to prove Brady actually talked to him...): "(Eff) the Pro Bowl, I'm goin' to the HOF..." :D

BB seems completely averse to bringing in a QB who has to "unlearn" another team's system. (But watch, now that I say this they'll be bringing in Trent Edwards or someone on Tues.) :ugh:

IMO there's a real problem with a rule that grants teams a big financial/tactical advantage for signing players after the first game, then schedules the first games over a 4-day period! The 4 teams playing tonight are handicapped in signing veteran FAs; the 2 teams that played Thursday had a leg up on the rest of the league.

The rule should apply after ALL teams have played one game.

You really need more?

Well, apparently, there's also BFH. :)

On a more serious note, there's no guarantee that either of those will be long-term signings.

Brian Griese still available?

If he is there is no other out there with anywhere near as much experience as a starter.

Garcia was a little upset when he left Philly the first time. Interest in him must have been very low for him to take that gig, or at least that's my assumption.

Follow up:

According to Steve Young, Garcia decided that he'd rather not play in Philly than not play in Oakland.

I completely agree. This is yet another league rule which makes no common sense whatsoever.

Or you could just set the cutoff date as the deadline for rosters in the first game anyone plays that season (i.e., a couple hours before the Kickoff game), or—in my mind, better still—even make it anyone who's on the roster as of the final 53-man cutdown.

That works for me too.

Something like the latter would work. Making the kickoff game the deadline seems unfair to the two teams playing -- everybody else could sign the vets for all 16 games.

McNabb is way over rated IMHO. Never thought I would agree with TO on anything but he was right when he called him a *****.

Eagles are probably better off with Garcia for a few weeks then Vick as QB.

McNabb ain't the QB he used to think he was!
