Has the economy affected you with your tickets?

I was looking last night on ticket exchange and there were a great deal of tickets for Monday nights game and it got me thinking. With the highest prices in the NFL, have a lot of you reconsidered going to a lot of games this year?

Monday night games are harder for most especially when they start early. I think that has more to do with it than the economy.

Thats true. Work ect. Even for games like Carolina. About 100 avaliable for that game. I know its later in the season but come on people!

I am a 9 year season ticket holder and it was a struggle to pay this year's prices. I can't really say the economy has affected me because, like every previous year, I'll go to some games and sell some games to friends.

I have no plans whatsoever to relinquish my tickets because these are the "good ole' days." But 8-10 years from now and Brady's gone and Belichick's gone? I am probably going to let my account expire.

I put my name on the waiting list 7 years ago for 2 tickets. I know that when i get my tickets, no one i know now will be on the team but thats okay. No matter who we have, ill always be a fan

I'll always be a fan too - but I can be a fan without spending $9,000 on season tickets. If times are good for me financially, which I hope they are, I'll certainly keep the seats. But right now I'm paying almost $7,000 for 4 seats. It's perfectly reasonable to predict that number will be $9,000 to $10,000 10 years from now.

It's easy for you to sit here and say what you will do 10 years from now if you get the notice you are on the top of the list. I don't know you're personal financial situation, but if you got hit with a $9,000 bill to watch a rebuilding team, are you any less of a fan if finances dictate you turn it down?

What bugs me is $40-$50 for parking.

6 season tickets - lower bowl - one wedding - down payment help x 2 of my kids, maybe 3.............damn good thing I am fortunate enough to be in a recession proof business (food - folks gotta eat) and the companies we represent are doing OK.

Not a great or even a good year, but when I look around, I sure am thankful for what I do have - times are tough out there.

Nope. Theres no way i could afford 4 tickets. 2 is the perfect number

I got rid of my season tickets, bu not because of the economy. I am actually one of the lucky ones who have actually done better in this bad economy.

The reason I got rid of the tickets was time. I guess as my firends and I get older, our lives get too much in the way. Even with a short tailgate, you spend the whole day preparing, traveling, and attending the game. We found we couldn't do it 8-12 times a year anymore. When they raised the prices, we made the decision to give up our seats. It was more about when we couldn't find someone to buy our tickets (it happens more than you would think especially last year when Brady went down), you gotta eat the tickets.

My personal economy took a serious hit this year. I can't make a single game, and the only thing I could afford was a new Patriots T-Shirt because it was on sale. Sad, I know... sigh.

It's frustrating as heck, but I know it's a temporary situation. Things will get better for me in a few months, but at least I still have a nice flat-screen with surround sound and a comfy couch at home

I don't request an upgrade to the 100 level seats anymore.......those days are gone.

I'm currently only on the wait list along with about 50,000 others so I only go to a couple of games a year. Having said that it seems like there are even better tickets available than normal on the ticket exchange even for a Monday night game. I know of quite a few people who have taken over their friends seats for the season because they can no longer afford them.

With the games on Hi-Def now it can be hard for some to justify spending that much a year but you simply cannot get the experience and excitement that watching a live game can be. My kids are old enough now where I can take them to a game and they can enjoy it almost as much as I do. I took my son to his first game last year and it was a priceless experience for both of us. I remember when my dad took me to my first game sitting on those cold metal benches and was the main reason why I became such a big Pats fan and what I want to pass on to my two as well. I agree that the parking is starting to get pretty outrageous though. I figure at the rate they keep going up I'll be paying $100 a game for it by the time I actually get season tickets.

Speak the truth, my friend. When a friend and I went to a Pats-Arizona, we paid $5.00 for parking and it was extremely close to the stadium.

The Pats have once again sold out the season and that is saying a lot in these times. I have 4 season tickets and I will never give them up, but maybe I'm different because I have always been a diehard, even in the Rod Rust days I attended every game.

The Pats have once again sold out the season and that is saying a lot in these times. Even where it isn't blacked out, it is affecting teams. I put my name on the Eagles season ticket list two years ago and was told there 20,000 names ahead of me. It's great entertainment watching Giants and Eagles fans pummel each other. I feel like the Swiss......There was no cost involved and I could always turn around and sell the tickets without the team caring. In fact, all the ticket resellers (StubHub et al) have their base of operations at a hotel next to the stadium)
I got a call this year telling me I could purchase them if I wanted. They called repeatedly which told me that they were anxious to get buyers....
