I would suspect that Al would simply argue that he didn't want to jeopardize any possible long term relationship with Seymour by sending him the nasty letter!
It's not costing Al anything while Seymour stays away correct?
Someone mentioned that Schefter "tweeted" he would get his weekly game checks being on the active roster. Now, who knows how accurate that is.
Another thing is that Al Davis is one stubborn and strong willed dude. He may not even think about trying to rescind the trade to save face, and instead make Seymours life hell.
