Re: Bruschi Espn debut on now

Thanks for the heads up. He's doing great so far.

Re: Bruschi Espn debut on now

He'll also be appearing on the 6pm Sports-Center.

One of the segments coming up on NFL Live is about all the new starters on the Patriots this season.

Re: Bruschi Espn debut on now

He almost called the Steelers...the Patriots... "Pa-Steelers..."

And oof, he brought out the stupid family argument again for Seymour.

You're not still in the locker room, Tedy.

And he said 'we' instead of 'they' when he was speaking about the Patriots.
It was a mistake but nice to hear.

They had a quick debate of the better dynasty, 90's Cowboys or 00's Patriots.

Tedy said "They had the big 3, we had the big 53." and of course chose us.

Hell yeah.

He's being paid to offer his insight, and that's the insight that he has to give. He worked along Seymour for Seymour's entire career so far, so I'm taking it FWIW.

Thats not all he said he talked about going from one of the best to one of the worst but I don't think you can underate the family thing....I don't remember exactly what the full amount of his last contract was but he had a top ten rookie contract and a big mega deal all that remains for him to collect is 3.7 which is pretty small compared to what he has made so far and he may decide his family is worth more.

Even if he sits out the year he can get that 3.7 back and another signing too obviously this would hurt his value but he has made tons and potentially still can. I think people misrepresent Big Sey when they say he is a money guy I think he just isnt into concessions and wants every penny of what he feels he is worth but that doesn't mean family and winning means nothing to him it just means he wont play for less than he feels he is worth and in this instance his only option is to not play so what he is worth not playing?

Side Note: Schlereth said since no action has been made by the Raiders that he is set to get paid for this weeks game...interesting.

And Oh Yeah Teddy is the man and I thought he did a real nice job. Good stuff on how to beat Kerry Collins - get pressure up the middle and make him reset in the pocket.....also good stuff on how to beat big ben he said DBs need to plaster which means stay close to the WR even after the play has broken because Ben makes plays on the run.

If Seymour is collecting a check, then the deal is done, with no physical needed.

Also, If Seymour decides to not report, then he is forfeiting a year and will not be a free agent next season.

I am honestly sick of hearing the whining about his family. There are guys who never move their families from where they were at. They go home in the off-season. Until Seymour moved his up to New England, that is what he was doing.

BTW, anyone else think its wierd that Seymour was yapping his mouth and telling teammates all spring and summer how he was likely gone, yet he went and moved his family up to New England...

Re: Bruschi Espn debut on now

He's getting paid millions of dollars and likely will retire before his kids get much beyond high school.

Lots of people have to move their families and don't get paid bucketloads of money to do it.

So...no, I don't buy it.

I thought Bruschi did a great job with conveying his football knowledge. If I had one criticism of him, it would be that he was a little fidgety, looking down at his papers and not looking into the correct camera a couple of times. But these were minor issues and should not be a problem as he gets more comfortable being on camera. Very good for a first time. He seemed to have good chemistry with Woodson. Now if they could dump Wingo this would be a much better show.

listen to rodney's interview on wEEI today. he said that players have it good that they are paid millions compared to people who have to work long hrs and not paid much or something of that sort so its really not a cold business what the pats did

Woodson's silence and laugh over that comment was golden...no way to come back or top that

The encore now playing.

He seems a tish nervous, but doing great. With Tedy on board, it will be nice to watch NFL live once in while without rolling my eyes  until they hurt. And sweet criminy jeebus he looks yummy in a suit. RAWR! Sorry fellas, sure you could care less, but it had to be said. :D
