Offense: quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Randy Moss.
Defense: linebacker Jerod Mayo and nose tackle Vince Wilfork
Special teams: Sam Aiken.
Brady, Mayo and Aiken were all preseason captains. Moss is a captain for the second straight season.
It is interesting that Wilfork, who boycotted the team's voluntary organized team activities in the spring as he tried to angle for a long-term extension but has participated in all mandatory activities despite not having a new deal, was named a captain for the second straight year.
Aiken replaced Larry Izzo, who is now with the Jets, as special teams captain. Izzo was special teams captain for the past eight seasons.
The Patriots captains last year were Brady, Moss, left tackle Matt Light, Wilfork, safety Rodney Harrison, and linebackers Tedy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel and Izzo.
Izzo wasn't with us last year.

Yes he was.

Wilfork is a captain despite wanting a new deal. Those disloyal bastard Patriots!

It seemed a little light, I was hoping to the the Hit Stick as a captain - there's no-one in the secondary so hopefully he'll be a pseudo captain.Interesting that we cut down from 8 captains to 5. I would have liked to see Adalius Thomas a captain as well.
