For example, has Simmons practiced?
Has Edelman?

As far as I know, the Pats have not had a practice since the Giants game..today I believe is their first. So Simmons has NOT practiced...are you thinking he could be PUPed?? I don't know if PUP exists after the preseason...signing a player that has not practiced.
Edelman practiced on the last day of camp...played in teh Cinci game but not since.

WWWelker?
.....

Not sure but he has started talking about a return which was pointed to by Reiss as a good sign.

I haven't been at practice in weeks and my tuba playing has suffered greatly.

Oh, you mean the Pats. I don't know if any of that matters much. Many players may have been resting lately to be ready for the season. We will find out the real story of players to be concerned about today in practice.

What matters is that we are a bit thin at WR (Edelman and Welker) and the interior line situation is a mess (we are carrying two roster positions more than normal at the moment).
It seems wrong to carry two extra roster positions at guard, especially when this is a posiition that Belichick could fill with a street free agent or with a Practice Squad player as he has in the past.

You should call Bill and alert him to this potential oversight he has obviously not given the roster proper consideration heading into a steel cage matchup with the vaunted Bill's.

I think if Belichick was concerned about the depth at WR, he wouldn't have cut either Lewis or Nunn.

Better yet, just tell him at lunch. ;)
