This is the first time all season the Pats have been in a reasonable position from a cap perspective. IMO the FO has been more willing to make moves quickly to help get the cap back in shape. All of the major moves have freed up cap space (Cassell/Vrabel, Hobbs, Seymour), even Bruschi's retirement has helped.
The FO did a very good job with very little cap space. Nice job anonymous FO staffers!
Wilfork can be franchised if necessary, Mankins will be an RFA if a new CBA is not reached (When do we find out whether 2010 will be uncapped?). Ghost may end up leaving but most of the core players are still under club control.
