As of right now we need to draft a stud swing tackle for 2010, capable of starting of 2010 season unless mark levoir is super solid.

Russel Okung
Trent Williams
Adam Utal.
Brian Bulaga

I had previously agreed with you (prior to the preseason), but know I don't think so, given Vollmer's rapid development and LeVoir's solid performance in 2009. I think Light either moves to RT or moves on after his contract expires. Vollmer, Kaczsur and LeVoir give us 3/4 of a solid OT rotation. We don't need to spend a high pick on one of those 4 guys.

Another to keep an eye on is Sam Young of Notre Dame. 6'8" and 325 lbs. He has started 39 consecutive games and playsthe run with a flat back and lots of power.
Decent not great feet, but has long arms and once he locks on, he is strong enough to redirect any defensive end.
He struggles in space especially on stretch plays. But I am thinking Dante can solve that problem with work on technique.

I am also high on Adam Ulatoski of Texas. He is almost an exact clone of Young 6'8" and 310lbs. and plays like Young as well.

Combined with Vollmer and the Pats could have a huge set of OT's with long wing spans and lots of power.

Both Young and Ulatoski are both potential upgrades over Levior and maybe Kazcur.

With Kaczur, Levoir, and Vollmer wrapped up for several years I don't see Offensive Tackle as a high priority.

Neal and Mankins are still free agents, If Mankins leaves that would leave a gaping hole at LG. A stud OG or smaller athletic OT to take over the left guard spot could be a serious need.

I think the most serious need now is going to be a DEFENSIVE Tackle. A kid like V. Oghobaase to come in and take Seymours spot at 3-4 DE.

Here's a dark horse with nice size and athleticism who may be worth keeping an eye on - Austin Howard from the University of Northern Iowa.

UNI lineman hopes family's mark vs. Iowa remains perfect

6'7", 319# former basketball player and tight end. Where have I heard that combination before?

The sad thing is this draft is very weak at the OG position. The kid from Florida and Mike Jonson of Alabama are two athletic guys that would fit nicely in BB's zone blocking scheme.

I like Vince O as well, and I think he has the athletic and run stopping ability to play DE in a 3-4.
I know Duke was embarrassed last weekend, but my crew gets to do a Duke game this year so I will get to see him live and in person. I should have a better read on him after that.

kaczur is weak sauce, and light is def. at the end of his career as a starting left tackle and i think him or kaczur are definitely not the answer at right tackle...
